Great music and great drinks. Right on Lake Grapevine, and enjoyed our room at the Gaylord. We visit Texas every few weeks and always stop at the Cactus.

Great music, ambiance, crowd, loaded bar! What more do I need on a Saturday night. Had a great time with close friends. Will definite visit again.

I come here quite a bit and always have a good time. Drink prices are reasonable, and the wait staff are very friendly. The food is decent for a night club as well. My nights here typically consist of lots of dancing, smoking cigars on the huge deck overlooking Lake Grapevine, and more dancing. The crowd is typically middle aged folks looking to have a good time, so if you are social you can meet some really nice people and enjoy yourself.

Overcharged for food that never showed up… food that wasn’t worth waiting for. There’s the Kraft Microwave Calamari, and then the Kroger Supermarket Meat & Cheese Platter. Alas I’ll never know what wonders their mystery sliders would do on my gastrointestinal tract… they never arrived. In fact, they never arrived twice. Instead of removing them they double billed us and added a mystery fourth drink that never materialized. Utter garbage for a place that shoots for an «upscale» atmosphere which appears to be run by idiot managers. We should have paid attention to the 50% of patrons at the hotel bar who, while talking amongst themselves, each balked at the idea of taking the shuttle hop over to Glass Cactus. The entertainment consists of overpaid, third rate«DJs» that run preset playlists(read: they press play and stop) that I’ve heard from completely different DJ’s in Highland Park(meaning they buy top 40 remix sets from a service). The«VIP» seating is an absolute waste of money(which is why it’s never completely booked… just wasting space). And the management doesn’t take ownership of their mistakes. Instead, and based on reading every single other negative review here it seems we’re not alone, they seem to be intentionally overcharging patrons hoping a certain percentage of them won’t ever notice. The management needs to be fired and replaced with experts from the hospitality business, not morons used to the cover-your-ass mentality of downtown meat market clubs. The funniest part is that a place like Sambuca 360, which isn’t part of a $ 120 million resort, would have immediately corrected our order… Even Jaspers, which DMN reduced to a 1⁄5 star rating, covered an *entire* dinner bill, and not just one item, for making an error. And neither Jaspers nor Sambuca 360 are exactly what you’d define as «upscale»(e.g. Oak, FT33, Tei Tei Robata Bar, Stephan Pyles, The Mansion, etc.), but they do own their mistakes immediately.

This is located in a wonderful spot, you will love the patio! Parking is great because it’s at the Gaylord so there’s a ton and you can valet. The drinks are what you pay anywhere. Music was good the night we went until a cover band took over for the dj. The crowd is a mix of ages and people, I actually liked that. It’s kinda fun to people watch(in a positive way not negative).

Great night. Whatever. Stayed at the Gaylord, they told me it would cost $ 200 to get a table. They agreed that we could pay $ 100 because it was slow and made me sign a contract? At 1:30, they seated these thugs next to us, who didn’t have wristbands and didn’t pay anything and they started harassing the dancers. When I complained, we got shown the door… I’ll take this with Marriott tomorrow and let you know how it goes…

DJ sucked, kept playing really old shit, never got better. Live performers decent(Good Question Band), played Top 40 music, most pieces were danceable. Service at the bar area sucked(took too long, server hard to find). Generally reeked of pretension, almost desperate. Older crowd on a Friday night(35+). $ 12 for a shot of Patron. San Francisco prices for menu items.

I think what makes this nightclub so outstanding is the staff. They are uniformly friendly, guest-focused, helpful, and treat each guest with class and respect. My visit was by myself. Yes, that’s right: I went nightclubbing without a wingman, without a date, and, truly, without any reason other than to dance and have fun. And guess what? That’s exactly what happened. But it started with wait staff like Helen and Bridget who chatted with me for a while and guaranteed that I would have a good time. They were so encouraging and welcoming that any doubts I might have had about being solo went away. The music was fun and hewed to popular hits that everyone knows and loves to dance to. The drinks were priced around what you’d expect to pay for a higher end club. And I made some great new friends. All in all, I highly recommend the Glass Cactus!

Good location to watch the Friday fireworks and sunset. We came to see Emerald City Band and it was a ten dollar cover which seemed like a good deal. The band was supposed to come on at 9 per the marketing, but they waited till after the fireworks at 9:30 so they didn’t get on till like quarter till ten which kind of sucked. The drinks were good and pretty reasonable at between 8 to 12 for most mixed drinks. Bottle service was absurd starting at $ 200 but you aren’t paying that for a bottle.. Its an experience.

Live music: Yes, the band rocked. Dress code: I didn’t see any casual attire, everyone was dressed nice, but since I always dress age appropriate, I never have a problem with getting in. Cover: Friend was staying at hotel, so they didn’t charge any of us(8 people) Age: Not sure but I didn’t see anyone that looked young Price: $ 300 for a night of drinking for 8 people isn’t that bad but I didn’t look at itemization. Additional: I didn’t get to see upstairs as it was closed off, but the patio was fantastic, overlooking the lake. I imagine brunch here would be really nice. There are airplanes flying over regularly but this can’t be helped in proximity to the airport. Since this was my first visit, I won’t give away 5 stars but overall I had a great time!

Wife and I took a night away from the kids while on spring break with them and decided to head over here. We were staying at the Gaylord Texan so we benefited from no cover charge.(But with a daily resort fee of $ 18 we paid for it somehow). The band was emerald city band. It had thirteen band members and they covered many of today’s hits. They rotated the lead singer with at least 4 different members and each offered their own unique voice to their song. The club was awesome. One of the best venues I’ve been in. Overlooking lake grapevine was very nice. We’re getting a little old for this kind of night life but we were definitely not the oldest there I would say ages ranged from 20 – 80 and all in between.

Nice venue but the band Radio Live was less than spectacular. We ordered onion rings, calamari, and chips & salsa. It was regular bar food.

You know… I do think it’s good that Grapevine has some nice venues for folks young and old to come out and shake their tailfeather on the dance floor. Here at Glass Cactus you can do just that! Great for birthday parties and large groups. You can reserve a table and order a bunch of apps for the group. The bar is huge and lots of selections. The food is pretty decent as well! They have lots of selections for bites from flatbreads to sushi. Plus you can groove to the live music while watching cougars have a little liquid courage and really get loose! It really is a hilarious sight to see! Glass Cactus, you’re alright with me. Keep rocking no matter what anyone says.

Let me start with my gripe. The long/short of it was that they wouldn’t let my brother in with a black tank top on. Being from the DC area, I completely understand the need for a dress code. However, tank tops were not listed as prohibited. But I surely did spot almost ALL of the other prohibited items inside.(Basketball jerseys, sneakers, etc). Keep in mind this is a nightclub at the resort so the clientele is mostly people staying at the Gaylord. Ages ranged from 21 to 70+. So no matter what you do, you’re not going to get the«look» you’re going for. So don’t alienate people who are paying hundreds of dollars to stay at your resort by telling them that their attire isn’t up to par for your establishment. Other than that unpleasantry at the door, the club itself was fun. The cover band was the Walton Stout Band and they were awesome! Did oldies, top 40, rap, it was great. The people watching was really the best though. But I had a great time and drinks were cheap in comparison to DC so I consider that a win!

Halloween night Halloween party was not anything of epic proportions. It was actually pretty empty and tame compared to the Saturday night I visited once before. Despite being in the roped-off VIP area, men of interesting made-up places continued to pass by to loudly tell the story they made up before they pounded a case of Natty Lite in the parking lot. One was even so bold as to toss a $ 100 on the table and declare that he was buying the next round. I was so impressed that I passed out. When I came to, he and his money were gone. They have some fancy mixed drinks that are balanced out bya decent beer selection for the regular man. They also serve food. The lobster quesadillas tempt me time after time, yet my hunger never seems to line up with my visit. Bring some cash to tip the person in the restroom for handing you a paper towel or whatever else they do. I’m afraid to ask.

Live music is always great. Food is also pretty good. Wear decent clothes and you are sure to get laid. Classy Cougars Running Wild! The Glass Cactus is my favorite nightclub in the DFW.

This is a good venue for a night out especially when there’s a good cover band performing like Emerald City or La Freak. In between sets, there is a DJ who plays top 40s, good mix up and definitely a range of people. If you get there before 8pm, there is no cover, but they charge a cover after! The dance floor is pretty big, and it gets packed. Valet is $ 10, but they have self parking at the garage, don’t forget to validate your ticket when you leave!

This place was actually better than I anticipated. I’ve only heard things about it regarding the type of crowd it attracts. It didn’t help either that my mom and aunt like Glass Cactus. So besides all that I came in with a positive attitude. I stepped out of the car and the first thing I see are girls around my age, great! That’s not so bad. Oh wait, they’re leaving. Stepped inside and there’s a $ 10 cover if you aren’t staying at the Gaylord. Lame lame lame. This better be good. Much to my surprise this place was huge! The dance floor was large with an actual stage for the live music. The bar was on an elevated level and it wasn’t too crowded to the point where you’re actually brushing against people’s bums. Drinks are average, $ 6 for a vodka tonic, $ 9 for vodka red bull. The patio was just as large too with a matching bar! You have a great view of the water as well. The crowd wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, but close enough. To my surprise it was a fairly good mix in terms of age for the guys. I was intimidated though with most of them. Maybe I’m just shy or wary of being taken advantage of. Overall it was a fairly relaxed crowd, fun atmosphere, not pretentious at all, and I may make another visit if I have the guts to drive all the way here again. Gas plus the $ 10 cover, yeah I don’t know.

This place is the Gaylord Hotel’s bar on the lake. They have hugh patios, stage/dance floor and lots of seating. They hold many concerts there, so it’s a great place to hear local and pretty popular bands. The dance floor is always packed and it’s a decent size. The acoustics are great for live music. Sometimes they have bands/musicans playing outside on the patios. If you get there before 8pm, there is no cover unless it’s a ticketed event. They have a decent happy hour, $ 4 for selected drinks. This is a fun place for happy hour, concert, dancing, meeting friends or just hanging out. You have options to choose from!

We were here for a wedding after party and this place is awesome! The music was live and there was a huge stage downstairs. There is a VIP upstairs patio area that leads you to the outside deck. The upstairs inside looks over the downstairs stage and dancing area. The upstairs outside is a view of the Grapevine Lake! The drinks are a bit pricey but they have the good stuff as far as liquor goes. The cocktails are made precisely each and every time so you have consistent drinks and service. There is a cover on the weekends and the crowd is on the«older» side compared to all the other clubs that allow teeny boppers in. This leads to the whole facility being a more clean and enjoyable environment. You don’t go outside and smell marijuana and hear a ton of profanity on the patio either!
