I went to the Grapevine office to have a toe nail removed. I asked about the cost before it was done. Dr left the room and went to talk to someone. He came back and gave me a cash price. I have insurance, but he said the cash price was $ 172 with an aftercare package. I got the procedure done because the cost seemed reasonable. Paid the bill before i left the office. One months late, they filed on my insurance an said i owe another $ 272. When I called and told them that isn’t the cost I agreed to, they basically said to suck it up buttercup and pay up. We have payment plans.. I thought I was doing the right thing with the verbal agreement. Trust me, you can’t trust them, Get the cost in writing. They will take you for as much as they can.

This is an update of my review for FAANT. Previously, it was a one star, but I’ve now met with Dr. Crane a few times, and she’s good. Very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s still a big shop, and they move you through very quickly, with lots of fun, exciting paraphernalia to sell you.

I expected to be able to log on tonight and write a positive review, but my experience this morning changed all that. Two weeks ago, Dr. McCreary removed a small piece of a sharp object from my foot. It had been causing me excruciating pain and I had been unable to remove it myself. Dr. McCreary quite competently removed the object from my foot and I experienced immediate relief. He even x-rayed my foot to make sure he had removed everything. I was very happy with this experience. On my way out, one of the receptionists handed me a card with my followup appointment. I questioned the followup, as I felt the problem had been resolved. The receptionist, however, was quite insistent about my coming in again. Lo and behold, I showed up this morning for my «followup» appointment, and it hadn’t even been recorded in their system! The receptionist apparently had handed me the card with the date and time and not even entered it in the system. My appointment was supposed to be with Dr. McCreary, who wasn’t even in the office at that time. There wasn’t anyone else available to do the followup. The receptionist on duty this morning asked when I had scheduled the appointment. I told her I had certainly not scheduled this appointment, it was scheduled for me, and quite frankly, I felt it was unneeded. Whatever Dr. McCreary did solved the problem and I am able to walk comfortably again. She offered me a time two hours later and I told her it was unnecessary. I was not in favor of the followup to begin with, and being«stood up» just added insult to injury. It’s a shame, because I was very satisfied with Dr. McCreary and if I were only rating him and not the whole operation, I would have given a positive review. I was treated by Dr. Mary Beth Crane several years ago for plantar fasciitis and was also pleased with her. Their administrative staff just need to get their act together! People do not need to be inconvenienced and take time off from work, only to be «stood up» when they show up for their appointment at the correct time.

These ladies are crooks. They took me for over 2k. Sold me the wrong orthotics, injected bad medicine in my foot. Would not admit any wrong doing. Even wanted to be paid to correct their errors. Stay away. Go see dr Nichols in grapevine, he was able to repair faant’s damage.
