First off, let me say this: I thought that this Comfort Suites hotel was supposed to be «close» to the Grapevine Mills mall, but apparently, it isn’t, according to Google — a 20 min. walk with all the construction on the streets? I don’t think so. But, with that little negative mishap aside, the hotel itself, is actually okay for someone who just wants to stay for a weekend getaway. The room looks like a pretty decent sized room like you’d find in a regular hotel, but without the $ 200-$ 300 price tag. The only bone I have/had to pick with this hotel is that they didn’t give me complimentary bathrobes or even a toothbrush and toothpaste — I actually had to take the elevator back downstairs to the front desk to request a toothbrush/toothpaste set, and they were kind enough to give me one. Their complimentary breakfast buffet wasn’t much to say either; just scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits with country gravy — your usual country-style breakfast from the south. The complimentary shuttle from the hotel to DFW Airport was a perk for me since I didn’t have a rental car while I was there, so a plus for that. Other than that, not much to say about staying here, for the price I paid, at least. If you want to actually stay at a hotel that’s *close* to the Grapevine Mills Mall, try either the Homewood or SpringHill Suites across the street on the TX-121. I stayed here on a Saturday night. I bought the Groupon so it was a pretty good deal. Everyone was friendly and the room was the room I requested and it was very clean. The bathroom had a lot of counter space which was nice, and the breakfast was ok. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, although it was a king which was good. Also, there were no extra blankets, so I called the front desk and she said she would bring some up in about 20 minutes. I told her I was going to dinner but she could just leave them in my room. When I returned from dinner, still no blankets. When I called the front desk again, she informed me that I didn’t receive blankets because I was not in my room and nobody wanted to go in my room to drop them off when I wasn’t there. That seems highly unusual, but I just sent my husband down to get blankets and it wasn’t a big deal. Checkout was at noon so that was good. Overall, a decent stay.

We were sent here overnight by US Airways when a maintenance delay caused us to miss our connecting flight. The room was utilitarian and clean. They needed a new toilet seat. The beds were comfortable. They shoved so many people on the shuttle from the airport, they had my two daughters sit in the door well. Amazingly unsafe, but I was so exhausted, I am embarrassed to admit I was too tired to argue. I was standing and holding on myself. Not the proudest mom moment.

The only complaint I have here is that the wifi sucks bad. Connection isn’t good to FaceTime or Tango. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

I have to echo the sentiments of the previous two reviewers. As a rather seasoned business traveler, I was more than a little concerned when my co-worker convinced me that the Comfort Suites was the better option over the Hampton, because it was closer to our destination each day. Don’t get me wrong, I love Choice Hotels when I’m traveling on my own dime. An inexpensive but nice room for the wife and pups to romp around in. But when I’m away from the fam on the company’s dime, well, I’ve become accustomed to slightly nicer digs. I am pleased with this place. When I walked in I was impressed. It looked better than most Hamptons I’ve been to. The lobby is spacious and clean. The gal at the front desk was friendly, efficient and helpful. I still wondered about my room. It’s nice too. Clean, nice bed, a desk, nice flat-screen, etc. Just like I like. I’d recommend this place for business or pleasure. It’s not far from a Mall and historic Grapevine.

We stayed here over the weekend and I was amazed at how nice this hotel is. Their lobby is beautiful and spacious and a nice place to hang out and read or watch one of the many flat screen tv’s. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Anytime we asked for anything, we got it within minutes. Our room was great too. Very clean and well appointed. I especially loved the bathroom because it was big and modern and had a huge bathtub. It was a great size for four females traveling together. They offer a free breakfast buffet from 6am-10am and the lady who runs it does a good job of keeping everything stocked and fresh. They had all the usual cereal, bagels, pastries, juice and coffee but each day they also offered some hot dishes. One day it was biscuits, sausage and eggs and the next it was bacon and eggs. Oh, and they had a waffle station to make your own waffles. My daughter loved those! The best part is that they leave the coffee, tea, fruit and dried cereals out all day. That saved us some bucks and it was a thoughtful service that I appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Edit: I forgot to mention that it was only 79.99 per night. That is an awesome bargain considering there were four of us and we got free breakfast and coffee and snacks as needed.
