I thought stories about this store and this town were exaggerated but seriously, they are not. We showed up here late morning and though the shop was closed, the woman at a small café across the street flagged us down and told us she was calling the shopkeeper. She had us in for some hot chocolate while we waited since she also operates the tours on some days. The walking tour was fun, informative, and easy. The trip to Morgan’s apartment was worth the tour price alone. The town is adorable and tiny, super easy to navigate, and the people here are unbelievably friendly. If you’re a major Walking Dead fan, make this a stop on your Walking Dead roadtrip.

Being an avid The Walking Dead Fan, my girlfriend and I decided to drive to one of the show’s favorite filming locations at Grantville, GA. The place is small, small town — like half a city block small. While we were walking around, a very nice woman who was driving through town pulled over and cheerfully asked us where we were from. She then preceded to point out all of the film locations in the little town, and invited us to come to her store at the end of the block, which was used to film a scene from The Walking Dead(see pictures). We walked into a The Walking Dead treasure trove of zombie merchandise, both official merchandise from the show, zombie related memorabilia, and original zombie designs. Our delightful tour impromptu guide was behind the counter, and chatted us up about the town and the tourism. I purchased a zip up hoodie for around $ 35 — which is $ 15 – 20 cheaper than getting the same one from the AMC Store. Definitely stop by this little town with the nicest residents you will ever meet(the Mayor gave us a tour!) and be sure to stop by this gift shop for all of your Zombie-related needs.
