We arrived December 23, 2015 at 8:30 pm and the parking lot was empty. That should have been our clue. The lobby was six feet by 9 feet and that was the entire lobby which included the area for the«free breakfast» in the morning. No place to sit for breakfast. Manager said most people stand or taken the food to their car or room. Our room was freezing cold on arrival. The carpets were worn and old and dirty. The heater was one small 10 inch by 12 inch electric wall heater. The face of the air conditioner in the wall was broken. Bath was old and worn. Staff was abrupt. We booked on so we were committed and could not leave and get a refund. If I could give this motel zero stars we would. We travel all over the northwest and this was one of the worst motels we have stayed in. I would not recommend it to even a group of college kids for a cheap place. $ 80 per night with tax was far more than we should have paid.

Sam treated us well, showed us our room, and provided a nice continental breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and everything worked. The bathroom sink didn’t drain too well but after I adjusted the plug it was fine.

Great value for money. Very clean, and uniquely decorated rooms. Was not expecting this good of an experience.

Here is a basic value in a place to sleep. The non-smoking room was smoked in, but not too recently, and it is pretty clean. When you see cigarette burns in the bathroom linoleum I guess that is a clue. But it’s cleaner than a lot of the big-chain motels and it’s 59.00 plus the usual BS fees. Based on value, I recommend it, but don’t expect much more than a pretty clean and fairly quiet room.

Perfect, clean, comfortable, inexpensive lodging. My elderly father & I were happy with this motel and would stay here again. It’s a deal for only $ 70. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful(although he has a strong accent and was a bit hard to understand at times). He made us very comfortable.

October 27, 28, 29 — 2013 Booked my mom here for 3 nights for her relo to Grants Pass based on a recommendation of someone who stayed many years ago. The positives were the microwave and min frig in the room along with HDTV upgrade. Also bagels, english muffins, pastries in coffee in the lobby 7a-10a. Negatives were room and furnishings are a little dated, think grandma’s spare bedroom. Room rate including tax was $ 64.90 per night and I think got a better value for $ 48.39 including tax per night all things considered at the Motel 6 one block away. Main dissatisfaction was Mom was ready to move after 2 nights and I asked at the front desk to cancel the last night but was told could not because the reservation was made online which sounds like BS. I ended up cancelling my 3rd night reservation at Motel 6 which was also made online and there was no issue there at all and moving to the Sweet Breeze as did not want to eat the cost of a 3rd night. Driving around Grants Pass for several days it appears there may be better options more central to downtown.

Minus one for the shower head that spilled water everywhere and made the entire bathroom wet. Minus one for not having blackout curtains… It was so hard to sleep with light shining in my eyes. Minus one for the not so nice customer service. Every time we showed up to the desk, they looked at us like, «What do you want?» Yes it’s cheap, but you get what you pay for. I would not stay here again.

So since I was in southern Oregon again and since I found this place to be acceptable, I reserved a room for one night. I walk in and tell the guy at the desk that I have a reservation. He stares at me and the following conversation ultimately occurs: Him: You stayed in number 7 last time? Me: Yes. Him: You smoked in the room! Me:(Shocked) No I didn’t! Him: My housekeeper says it smelled very bad like cigarettes. Me: I didn’t smoke in the room! I smoked outside! Him:(Shoves a piece of paper at me) We could charge you $ 200! Me: I swear to ‘effin God that I did NOT smoke in that room! If I wanted a smoking room, wouldn’t I have gotten one??? And if I HAD smoked in the room, would I have come back here??? This debate when on and on until the guy finally told me that he needed to check with the owner to make sure it was ok for me to stay there again. How ‘effin insulting! I told him that as long as he didn’t charge me for the reservation, I would take my business elsewhere. And guess what – suddenly he didn’t want me to go. He did, however, tell me that he would need to check my room at the end of my stay to make sure I didn’t smoke in the room! For the record, people, I didn’t smoke in that room. Although I am the scum of the earth, I am considerate. Instead of throwing my cig butts in the parking lot, I put them out and threw them in the trash inside. I’m assuming that this is where the«smoke» smell came from, but even so most people can tell the difference between cig smoke and cig butts – especially when you change the garbage and SEE the butts there. What I find surprising is that this guy didn’t bother to call me after my first stay and accuse me of smoking in the room. Why? Ugh. I hate this place now, and would never stay here again. When I checked out I made sure to remind the guy to check my room, but somewhere during my stay I had regained his trust and he decided not to. Amazing.
