Gillaspie Hair Design

I have gone as a walk-​in twice to this salon, and both times, I have been very happy. I saw two different stylists, and both gave me exceptional cuts. They were both very nice and I felt confortable there. I would highly recommend them:)

I went in to fix my raggedy mop. I called and spoke with Lisa who scheduled me in right away. She fixed my terribly grown out color line with amazing natural blonde highlights. I asked for an a-​line yet was afraid to chop too much off. She tolerated my indecision and when i let her cut my hair to what she thought was best it came out better than i couldve ever wanted. My hair feels and looks so healthy and natural!

I live in Medford yet I have been going to Ron for the last 9 years and have never had a bad cut or dye. Ron is AMAZING at what he does. he knows how to cut my difficult hair so it looks perfect all the time even though I don’t use products like hairspray. My little girl also has ringlets and Ron is the only one I will let cut her hair as well as he knows how to cut with the hair. I HIGHLY recommend Ron and his staff of stylists. Although I have never had work done by his stylist I have seen MANY of their clients before and after and they do wonderful work as well.

The best hair cut I’ve ever gotten! I heard about Gillaspie Hair Design from a coworker, and had some time in the afternoon to swing by. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door, and was really surprised to be offered water, and other refreshments while I waited. Damion was the stylist that cut my hair, and he gave me the best haircut I have ever had. He took his time, and was very thorough. He took time to do things that other salons wouldn’t. The other stylists where just as friendly, and the entire salon had wonderful family feel to it. It was clean, easy to find, and had good parking. I live one town over, and will make the drive again when I need my haircut! It’s well worth it! Thanks for the great cut, and I’ll see you back soon.

I very clearly communicated with her that the absolutely most important thing to me was to not significantly reduce the length of my hair. That i wanted to keep basically the same length over all, that i wanted to lose as little as possible. That i wanted the longest to stay the same length and to just add some layering to some of the outside hair to eliminate an overall triangular shape. I thought we understood each other. She repeated what I wanted back to me. I repeated myself and she repeated back to me that she understood. I stressed that absolutely the most important thing was to keep the same overall general length and that the longest hair stay about the same and just layer some of the outer hair. Apparently she either didn’t care what i said, or she doesn’t know what she is doing, because I went from hair several inches past my shoulder to CHIN LENGTH hair. It is more triangular than ever and there are no layers. i hate it i look stupid. I was going tosee my family for thanksgiving in two months and wanted to look nice and now i am humiliated by my appearance and will be postponing the trip until spring because i am insecure enough as it is and i don’t like how i look now at all. I am so very sad and hurt. My hair takes forever to grow. I asked when I called on the phone if there was someone who specialized in curly hair, and when I arrived I reiterated the importance of having someone who specialized in curly hair, and she assured me she knew what she was doing. I am so hurt and sad. if she couldn’t do what i asked, then put down the scissors and walk away, consult with me first, or let someone else do it.

Vicky gave me a perfect cut& style. She listened 2 me regarding how I like a certain length, then she did it! For the first time in years my hair looks good from day one. Vicky U R the best. Nancy

Not only was I able to get an appointment the following day, but then Damian worked magic on my over-​processed and excessively-​dried out hair.
Everyone at the salon was super nice and the services were reasonably priced.
I would give this business more stars if it were possible!!!

This place is where you go in grants pass if you care about the way you look. The artists don’t just «cut hair» they craft an experience. Damien and Brittany have both cut mine many times and they always do an amazing job

Went in looking for a stylist creative and fearless with short hair cuts. Damian proved to be the best in this area. He is talented and stays current with hair techniques not generally found in towns of this size. Very reasonable rates and a lovely person.

I have to say, I’ve spend huge chunks of change having my hair cut in the past, and have gone home only to take a pair of scissor or a razor to it myself to get it the way I want. Being from out of town, and not having my tools to take care of my own hair I went to see Rori on the recommendation of my mom and her friends who love Rori’s handiwork. I was not disappointed.
Rori is a sculptor with a razor. She took my ideas — like and dislike — and went for it. I was not at all disappointed. You know how some stylists always make your hair look awesome before you leave, only the next day you can’t replicate it? I had no problem making my choppy ‘do look super cut after a hard night’s sleep.
I was so impressed, I made sure the next time I was in town from the SF Bay Area I went in for another cut. This time adding a few extensions for some funky asymmetry in the front. Again… Love it! Thanks Rori for your talent and for seeing me on short notice! I’ll be back.

Brittney is the best! Warm and welcoming even though I walked in off the street on a broiling hot Friday. Went back with my husband in tow. We were treated like long time friends. Love this place! GREAT hair styles!

Not only can Ron do women’s hair, but he is the man when it comes to the clippers too. Clean fades for men!

I have had the pleasure of getting my hair cut and colored by Damion Trovato countless times over the last 10 years! I recently moved to San Francisco and I cannot seem to find anyone that compares. He is consistent, kind and down right hilarious :). We have formed a friendship that will last a lifetime. The salon is family owned and that is exactly how I feel when I step foot inside, just like part of the family! I can’t wait to visit the salon soon and get the professional level of hair service that I’ve been missing :)

It’s hard to find a salon where you can walk in and completely trust that the stylist will do a great job. I can say that I trust Damion and Ron to do just that. I continue to have great experiences here. I can’t speak highly enough of Gillaspie Hair Design!

Ron is about as level headed and careful with hair as anyone I have ever had work on my head, including my mom and sister who were beauticians too!
He really listens to what a client wants and can seemingly produce miracles with color and cuts.
