We were on our way to Muskegon but were too hungry to wait for lunch so we took a risk on this restaurant in Grant. There was another couple there when I stepped in cautiously to see if it looked decent enough to try. I asked the lady and she raved about their authentic food and how they eat there all the time. So I flagged my husband in and we sat down despite the bare bones ambience. The tables seemed to have cigarette burns all over them. When ordering we had a first time experience with being offered tongue, tripe, and cheek. That was a bit too adventurous for us. So we stuck with basic chicken & steak. The lady had recommended the steak quesadilla so I had that. The meat tasted reheated and was not good. My husband’s food was not much better. Only saving grace was the salsa which I really did enjoy but the chips weren’t very good.
