Really! This place is a joke. Food is mediocare. But the place is filthy! Heat in the winter is space heaters. In summer dirty fans in the dining room. I tried, no more.

Ok, I know… It doesn’t look very pretty, but lets be real, how many Chinese takeout places do? Don’t let the looks of the joint stop you from giving it a try. Stopped in last night because I had a bad craving for some hood rice, and the GC Chinese icon was closed. Called in the order, picked up, and back home in 20. Fairly standard I know, but the food was way above my expectations. The SFR was LOADED with the 4 meats and the Yu Shaing,(think that’s right), chicken was awesome with a light sweet and spicy sauce way different from the red stuff we all submerge our egg rolls and crab rangoon in. But the biggest shock was the shrimp and chicken curry… WOW! It was comparable to some curry dishes I have had in the«Chinatown» area of St. Louis. Huge portions for the money, and the shrimp would about qualify as colossal in any other takeout place. Stop letting the appearance of the building cause you to drive past. I was a bit nervous myself, but they are worth the stop.

Afraid to eat here. We walked in. Looked pretty grimy. Some shady characters inside. Left. Don’t know how the food tastes.

Yes I finally get to be a first reviewer! Sadly I have been to this place pretty much every week or every other for months now. This is hands down some of the best Chinese food i have gotten in st Louis period. Despite my lack of Chinese reviews believe me I have tried 20+ places… first off I’ve got to tell you the place isn’t pretty… but its authentic… A great couple own this place(i feel like I’ve known them forever) they just got back from a trip back to china. I’ve eaten hot braised chicken, house special egg foo yong, house special fried rice, Mongolian beef, general tso’s, egg rolls, crab ragoon, and a couple of cookies from the counter… My usual’s are the Mongolian beef, house special egg foo yong, braised chicken, and egg rolls. Best egg foo yong you will find! The prices are cheap for all you get and the absolute best part is… I have never had indigestion from eating their food. I bet not many places could boast that especially chinese. Go check them out!
