If only all visits to any other specialized doctor were as good as visiting this specialized doctor. 1) professional and organized; 2) takes some time with you to explain stuff to you; 3) receptive to your input and frustrations and constraints — provides advice shaped by them. Does not make you feel an idiot or a failure because you cannot comply with certain ideal practices.
From my point of view — I would go and see other Doctors more proactively if they gave patient centric helpful advice in the manner of this doctor.
Dr Borghi — if only you were a general practitioner of medicine you would be my primary care :)
If you can’t work with Dr Borghi — there is something wrong with you, not with him!!!

I need my eyes to earn my living, so I take my vision care very seriously. Dr. Borghi has helped keep my eyes in good shape for more than 20 years, and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. Recently, I was having a hard time with my contact lenses, and Dr. Borghi figured out that I was becoming sensitized to the disinfecting solution. He switched me to a different kind and it worked out great. I think a lesser doctor might have told me to abandon the contact lenses or try to sell me on laser surgery, but Dr. Borghi found an elegant and inexpensive solution to my problem. Doctoring doesn’t get better than that.

Dr. Borghi and staff are awesome. Rod A does not have a clue! When you see Dr. Borghi you are being cared for by person who truly cares for you and your family.

My family has been going to Dr. Borghi for 15 years and couldn’t give a higher recommendation. Not only is Dr. Borghi a super nice guy, but he is very attentive, thorough, and professional with his patients. His staff is always very friendly and helpful, and has been wonderful at helping me choose new frames. (I always have a hard time choosing on my own, but Connie and Kathy have great taste and a good eye for what looks good on people.) Dr. Borghi and his staff are always welcoming and make you feel comfortable. We have had excellent service and care!

My family and I have been coming to Dr. Borghi’s office for over 8 years now. We enjoy going to get our yearly eye examination. It really has a family feel and they really take care of you and your eyes. I always have a hard time picking out glasses for myself and they always help me try on many, many pairs of glasses until I find the right one. They are knowledgeable about eye insurance and they let me know what is available on my plan. One time I could not find a sitter and one of the staff watched my kid while I got my eye exam. They really go above and beyond. Dr. Borghi is really nice and he always takes his time and cares for your eye health.

First and foremost, if your able to go to another optometrist DO IT! The staff is not too bad, but the head receptionist is a bit pushy and does not make you feel welcome, just kind of matter of fact, watever.
However i like my doctors to be personable and have a passion for their craft. Dr. Borgia, however, not only had the personality of a saltine cracker, but actually would go out of his way to avoid conversation AT ALL and cuts you off so as to sit there IN SILENCE, UNCOMFORTABLE AND EXPERIENCING TWO MAJOR THINGS: sound of his breathing in your ear (not pleasant) and the loud receptionist outside the room laughing it up on the phone with personal friends as if she lives there.
I never again went back despite living walking distance to his office… NONETHELESS I felt I owed it to the residents in g-​bay & Roseville to TELL YOU GUYS that I had a terrible experience and if you are not a zombie and enjoy human interaction then you may want to avoid this place as well.
P. S.–libertarians/​intellectuals beware! This guy is UBER conservative and not afraid to offend.
