I gave the Grandview — Truman farm three stars because it is a historical site. I think that alway warrants an extra star for historical value. The farm house is well maintained, appears to have somewhat of a new coat of paint and the grass is mowed. We were told that because of budget cuts the house is no longer open to the public. The brochure rack was empty — and even thought they offered a cell phone tour — you needed a brochure to tell you how to connect up to the tour(I get that brochures cost money — so why not post one in a protective frame for all to see and be done with it? One time cost — no brochures maintenance!) Still, it was a pleasant, quiet stop — with no long lines or high pressure souvenir sales — I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to see it — but if you’re in the area it is worth a stop.
