The View

Horrible management that cannot resolve issues timely.

One of my families favorite parks. Has a path for kids to ride bikes while still being in sight of parents. Has a nice paçilion with grills for cooking out. Walking paths for adults run through the park area. Well shaded in the hot summer is a plus too

Had a membership here a while ago and used it religiously. It was nice to have a gym where you didn’t have to wait on everything or listen to grunting bodybuilders in the back. I enjoyed it. I didn’t take any of the classes but heard they were great. The pool area is fun (large water slide, lazy river, intermittent fountains) but the area was always cold. This was one of the reasons we stopped swimming here… the advantage to swimming indoors is the temperature is always comfortable otherwise what’s the point.

Positive — Clean facility, great pool, decent basketball courts, good indoor track, no lines. If you are a local resident, t’s VERY CHEAP!
Negatives — adult staff is rude and uninterested in any sort of customer service. All remaining staff seem to be teenage kids with no form of managed structure, proper training and interest in working at all. You hear «No» from the management staff and «I don’t know» from all the rest — if you can break into their conversation among themselves.
Keep a close eye on any valuables. There are cameras, but no one is ever looking at them. Many areas are unsupervised.
Note to management: every person there needs customer service training and all of your employees need to learn what is offered at your facility or simply remove them from the front desk. You don’t need five of them at the front desk anyway.

We take kids here on outings at my workplace, and it’s always a big hit. Very nice community center… I’ve mostly used the pool area, but it’s very nicely maintained, and a lot of fun. Nice changing area, pleasant staff. Thumbs up to The View!

I seriously CAN NOT believe this is a «community center». In CA, community centers are something to be laughed at due to their poor condition (unless you live in high-​income/​educated/​liberal areas like Palo Alto– man, I love that town). However, this gym is fairly large and well maintained and staffed.
I love to swim here and although I have time constraints due to instruction/​class sessions, it doesn’t bother me at all.
pros:
membership fees are cheap (DIRT CHEAP)
itness equipments are clean (LOOKS NEW TO ME!)
lockers are clean (NOT YOUR HIGH SCHOOL LOCKER ROOM)
hours are good (if you keep a normal schedule, then you can make it work)
it’s empty (NO LINES!!!)
*hot men alert at 5:30 — 7:00ish during lap/​open swim but too bad they’re like all married
which brings me to another point: WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE MARRIED? why do people in MO (Mid West in general) commit to «marriage» in their 20s? do they not enjoy their freedom???
