I ordered the 12 inch margarita pizza($ 10), and a small Caesar salad($ 4). They also give you free self serve sweet tea and water for free. That was awesome! Omg, the pizza was delicious! The ingredients were very fresh! Love the thin crust! I really wanted to try the wood-fire oven baked pizza. But they only do that for dinner… I didn’t know that, and it wasn’t written on the menu as far as I could tell. A little bit disappointed. But that’s ok! It’ll give me an excuse to come back for dinner time. All in all, service was friendly, quick, and yummy!

Pizza’s yum, people are rude. I mean, it’s not very inviting. No one will be greeting you with a smile or approaching you, and when you get to the counter you may need to ask to be helped. It’s very hipster vibe inside with an industrial type feel design.

Great pizza! We moved back to the area and were so happy to find a great place to eat this close to us. We like to try different pies and haven’t found Amy that we don’t like.

Out of town and Unilocal didn’t disappoint on this one. The wood fired pizza was great and decently priced. Had a antipasto salad and that was good also. They also sell pizza by the slice which would come I need handy round munch time. Nice little find

I just moved to the area and was in need of a good pizza place. Read the reviews and had to try it. Everything is phenomenal! Great customer service, food is in a timely manner, and it is such a cool atmosphere. I eat there at least once a week now!

I am not in the Grandview area much so Unilocaled a new place to try. So glad Providence pizza was in the area. I wanted a woodfired pizza and so chose the Carne. A delicious then and crispy sourdough crust was topped with a fresh tasting tomato sauce, fennel sausage, salami, pancetta and freshly made mozzarella cheese. Their woodfired oven cooks at 900° so my pizza was literally cooked in less than three minutes. I saw some of their cheese bread coming out of their traditional oven and it looked incredible. INCREDIBLE to the point of me wanting to leap over the counter & try to grab it, but Unilocal tends to frown on such behavior. If other things on their menu are as good as their Neapolitan pizza, you will do well to stop and give this little place a try.

Pretty good pizza. I had the Fig wood fired pizza with goat cheese and arugula. Crust was a little overcooked for my liking but still good flavor. My friend had the Margherita and said it was just OK. In addition to full pizzas, they also offer pizza by the slice, calzones and more. They do not have beer or wine but mentioned that they should be getting their liquor license soon so that should help business. Overall good concept and I think they will continue to improve. Will be back to try again.

Stepping into the doorway your eyes are drawn to the copper turtle behind the counter. This is where the night time creations are fired off to perfection. The hand tossed dough, always fresh ingredients and the wood fire oven pair up to make a culinary orchestra for the taste buds to dance. Making the night time experience worthy of a date night, father/child bonding moment to etch in your timeline of life. Here for lunch? Don’t fear if the copper dome of pizza life is not smoking. They have several ovens to accommodate your pizza fix needs. Pizza is sold by the slice or in giant discs of gooey cheese heaven. Sure you can get a salad, starters, cold cokes in the can. Or take a plunge with the in house brewed root beer, featuring earthy tones, plenty of bite and a caramel finish. To finish off your tasty tango, try one of the many desserts offered that will leave your sweet tooth cracked. Bottomline, you can not order wrong here, every bite is another two step to satisfaction land.

Specialty pizza by the slice for lunch or the whole pie for the crew. Lunch was around $ 5, dinner might have been $ 15 and Mondays have killer deals. Loved the huge pizza oven. The whole place smells amazing. Staff were great, even when it’s busy the wait isn’t long. Truth, in my top 5 pizza spots. I’d go more often if I didn’t live downtown. Really easy to spot off the 71 highway in Grandview. Parking lot on the small side in front but plenty in the back.

Refreshing. My wife and I had pretty much given up with pizza here in KC and just started to settle for places like«Minsky’s» with no hope in sight. Then Providence came around and the ray of hope appeared like an olive branch in the mouth of a dove. God hath truly smiled upon a little town in S. KC and delivered a slice of NYCity to the underprivileged. Big slices. Simple toppings. Fold it in half and watch the grease slide down your arm. Pizza, people! Real pizza! –Ken D.(Husband)

It was 3 star food with 4 star prices. $ 37 for a large 4 topping pizza. Not bad, just overpriced. Try it out if you live here and are sick of the same local restaurants. If you’re just visiting then skip it. The décor is cool but not worth the prices.

I tried the carne wood fired pizza and a NY style cheeze pizza to compare. I didn’t get to try the sicilian style. The wood fired pizza was alright. It came out pretty greasy, but it was probably from the carne. The bottom crust was soggy. The end crusts didn’t have too much flavor, but I do like that its from sourdough. The ingredients are all definitely fresh though which is great! Service was quick. I also tried their homemade root beer. Tasted a little flat, but was still good. Has a unique taste. Environment is clean and modern.

I LOVE Providence, their food, people and service there. But I really wish they can improve the greasy smoke in the restaurant. YES, I love open kitchen and I definitely LOVE their wood oven. Yet, quality food and good smell is still different from having lots of greasy in the air we breath, they are 2 different things. Greasy smell(the smoke particle) is really really harmful for the lungs of owner, employees and diners for long term. They do cause lung cancers. The restaurant could have been a good hang out place if they find expert to improve their restaurant air quality, but now I would either just quickly grab the food myself and go or choose not to go at all with groups(group hang out require sit down time), because the greasy smell sticks to your clothes from the moment you walk in, and remains with you for the rest of the day. I am more than happy you make money from me with your good quality food and service, but please improve air quality for your own, employees, and diners’ health sake too! Making money with sincere service is all good. Yet without health body to enjoy, what will be the point of having good savings, right?

I really wasn’t expecting much out of this place what with it being in Grandview, but I was seriously surprised. The restaurant has a really cool, rustic feel to it and it’s really clean. The food is pretty awesome too. I typically like the thin crust more, and their’s definitely didn’t disappoint. Their thick crust wasn’t bad or anything but not my taste. There toppings are also really fresh. We had the chicken pesto pizza and it was delicious! Also, I’m not usually a fan of mozzarella sticks, but these were outrageous! You really have to try them if you come here.

Providence Pizza is a cool drink of water for Grandview. I and many others have LONG awaited the full opening of this place. I am hoping that it will usher in an era of good dining to the area. I walked in and was impressed with the ambiance and décor. It is a turn of the century industrial type look. The Chairman of the Board playing on the sound system puts you in a mind set of a by gone time in American culture when life was simpler. The wood fired oven is front and center in this mostly open kitchen. You get to watch you pizza being hand tossed put in the oven. I’m talkin ring-side seats here. I was dining alone so I passed on a whole pizza and I wanted a fresh dish. I decided on one of their many grinder sandwiches. The cheese-steak was recommended and I ordered one. It was a nice sandwich, but I thought a side would have been good to have. It had great flavor, but a little under seasoned and it could have used another minute or two in the oven(as I personally like them). The service was nice and efficient. They may have been a slight bit slow taking orders, but not a problem. The store was very clean and orderly with staff clearing and wiping down tables. I will be ordering a pizza very soon from Providence Pizzeria. Manga!
