I want to start by saying that I am not someone who enjoys dentist offices. It isn’t anything personal, but the thought of even making the phone call for a visit makes my blood pressure spike and my palms sweat. So going to the dentist has been something I’ve avoided for the past 4 years. up until this visit. I’m pretty sure toothaches only come on a day that most dentists are closed. Mine was on a Friday and believe it or not this is not a popular day for dentists to work. Being it was the week of New Years even less seemed to have open offices. I called in the morning and the ladies at My Dentist were able to squeeze me in that day. The person taking the appointment was very friendly and empathetic for the pain I was in. The office when you walk in is very warm and inviting. They had cozy couches up front instead of stiff plastic chairs. The whole waiting room helped relieve some of my nerves from the anticipation of the visit. They had me fill out some paperwork and then the dental assistant Asha greeted me up front. She had a very sweet, welcoming personality and was really great during the whole experience. She took some x-rays and then the dentist came in. This is a chain practice so I assume they have a few doctors on staff, but I had Sarah Brent. Super sweet and friendly. She did not once scold me for the obvious neglect I had given my teeth, but instead assured me that she was going to give me a plan that would get my mouth back to normal. I ended up having to have a procedure that day. Dr. Brent and Asha were both very gentle and talked about what they were going to do prior to doing it. Overall I would give these 2 and the care they provide 5 stars. The only reason as a whole I gave the office 4 stars was the layout of the exam rooms. It is open and dental assistants walk through frequently while you are under the drill so to speak. I found it very distracting and slightly embaressing to have so many people walking by as my mouth was wide open. There was also another patient in the«room» across from mine that was chatting on his cellphone very loudly. I found this very annoying and wish someone would have asked him to take his phone call outside as there were other patients having procedures. If they had actual walls up for exam rooms I would give them 5 stars, but overall I would say the care those girls gave made up for it.
