Massage Envy – Grande Prairie

This location is cool. I’ve been here a couple times. It gets very busy though, so if you anticipate needing a massage over the next month, book today! It’s hard to get an appointment otherwise. If the relaxation room w were more spacious, it would be more relaxing. The therapists are pretty good.

I picked the 60 min Swedish massage at introductory rate of $ 49. I walked in and scheduled same day. We had a late start even though I had an appointment however I received 50 mins of massage. I inquired why my massage was 50 mins even though I paid for an hour. Their response was 5 mins to look over charts, 50 min massage, 5 mins to get dressed. If that’s the case, I will tip for 50 mins and not an hour.
The rooms and facility are dimmed with relaxing music. The beds are heated and hot towels are utilitized.
My LMT was Kimya and she was awesome. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for their membership the same day and scheduled four in advance! I experienced my deep tissue massage with Asia and she has good hands. She worked those knots in my back and I felt loose at the end.
At the end of the massage, the therapist will tell you what type and duration of massage you need as well as areas that need focusing. Overall the staff and service was genuine and friendly.

I get a massage here once a month. I always book with Yen! She is such a sweetie. Everything is «yes sweet lady!» Or «is that okay sweet lady?» She is so sweet. She goes above and beyond to work on your sore spots and knots and trouble areas. She is great at keeping consistent on the pressure the entire time. ****Also she does a face and scalp massage that is like heaven. I drive 10 miles from home to this particular location even when there is a massage envy 4 miles away from my house all for YEN!!!

I had a good experience here. I told them about the horrible experience the first time I had a massage with a man (not at any massage envy) and they seems concerned. I guess they told my massage therapist because she asked me about and again seemed concerned.
I had Anita and she was very sweet and attentive and did a very good job listening to my stresses and to get those knots out! If I weren’t moving back home to the Houston area I would go to her again!

To this date, I have yet to get my money back or the massages owed me.

The ladies here do an outstanding job. I’ve been coming to this location for two years and really enjoy it.

I went here because of the introductory special and I had a horrible knot in my shoulder and I was hoping to relieve some of the pain. My esthethician was Anita who was friendly and did a very good job.
I got a Swedish massage with Deep Muscle Therapy for the knot which was and extra $ 12 but with the pain I had I wasn’t concerned with the price. The atmosphere was very relaxing but the massage was pretty uncomfortable because she had to use a lot of pressure to get rid of all the knots she kept finding through out my body. :(So I mean it wasn’t really fun but I know it’s what my body needed to get all the knots out. She explained that I would be sore over the next couple of days due to the pressure and told me to soak my body in epsom salt to reduce the soreness.
I must say though that I don’t have that horrible knot in my back anymore and finally feel normal again. :) They also ask you to join their membership for $ 60 a month which you get a free massage every month and if you want an additional one it would be $ 40 but I can’t imagine myself spending $ 60 each month on a massage eventhough it was good.

Esthetician Euneka rocks with the facials. She is very attentive to her clients. Great information to keep skin clear of blemishes. She is very thorough. If you live a bit of a distance from this location, leave early, this is a very high traffic area. Always appears to be jammed at the 360/​I 20 area especially.

I hate it when Christa isn’t available, and I need a massage right away or soon and then have to schedule with someone else. I ended up with the person I never wanted to go back to today b/​c I forgot her name from last time. The front desk recommended her. I had a feeling it might be her b/​c the name sounded so familiar! Her name is Elise. She was better this time from the first time, but I still did not fully enjoy the massage. She’s still giving those long scalp massages. If you are going to give someone a scalp massage, you should first ask him/​her if he/​she would like one. I’m glad I wasn’t going anywhere after my massage b/​c when I came home and looked at myself in the mirror, my hair was a hot mess! Elise’s pressure is good for the upper body, but when she got to my legs, she was hurting me big time. I wanted to say less pressure, but I was afraid if I did, she wouldn’t give me any pressure at all. So, I just let her continue what she was doing. I should have 2 more prepaid massages before my membership ends next month, so I’m definitely booking a 2 hour with Christa. I pray she is available! I also filled out my form to cancel my auto renewal membership today for next month, so I will see how that turns out as well.
