Worklab By Custer

This mod shared work space that’s all sort of technologically fancy. This place has everything you need to work off site. I really like working in the meeting room we rented and the complimentary café with nooks and crannies was certainly a treat! Strawberry infused iced water, yes please. The only downside is the fluorescent lightly, it’s my least favorite light to work in.

Today was my first day at Custer Work Lab and I have only great things to say about this place.
First, the atmosphere is great for business focused entrepreneurs. The colors and the furniture were clean, neat and opened up the room. We started out in a private room where we could hook up our computer to a tv screen and had a huge white board we could draw on. The kitchen had coffee, tea, fruit water, coke and snakes for us to partake in to keep our brains working. I enjoyed the service of the staff who accommodated my team as we moved throughout the day. I believe the small fee is worth a day working out of the Custer work lab. I suggest you check it out yourself!

The concept of Worklab is unique: take a downtown space and outfit it with awesome looking furniture to make working from a desk, private office, presentation room, or meeting room professionally stylish, inviting, and tech savvy. Individuals can pay to work by the day or get a pass to secure an office space for a longer period of time. It’s a great alternative for those who work from home or on the road but still want or need an office once in awhile to plug in.
I utilized Custer’s space recently for a group presentation. The room we utilized was large (seating about 50 in chairs), bright, clean, and had floor to ceiling windows that looked out over Rose Parks Circle and Monroe. It gave you the feeling of being in the center of all the action in downtown Grand Rapids. The room had all the powerpoint stuff we needed and it was easy schmezy to plug in and get started. The staff at Worklab was inviting, easy to talk with, and made scheduling a breeze. I found the prices to be fair and reasonable to use the space, and there was a private lot next to the building to make parking easy. And just like a «real» office, Worklab has some treats and coffee set out so you can linger and chat with others when you need a break. So if you need an excuse to get our of your sweat pants while working from home, or you need a formal, stylish office space while you are on the road for work, I’d recommend Worklab.
