I am a member of WIFC and love it because it it so close to my house. A lot of great fitness classes including spinning, powerflex, cardiokick and extreme fit. Enough cardio machines, almost never have to wait(except maybe in January when everyone makes new year’s resolutions!). Also, a great variety of strength training machines. Hours are very accommodating to almost any work schedule. great place :) it’s no YMCA with all the extras, but you’re not paying for the pool you never use either. They also have free daycare for members with kids.

This out of the way fitness center offers all the amenities of any major chain of fitness centers, but keeps that small town connection between customer and employee. Dozens of exercise equipment and free weights in this spacious gym guarantees no waiting and enough room to work out comfortably. An indoor track allows you to do sprints or cool down. A number of aerobic classes are offered in the adjoining exercise room throughout the day for those busy individuals or the lazy ones *hits snooze button. Twice. To help those tired muscles recover, a sauna and steam room are located in the locker room, as well as massages by appointment. The staff is terrific. They do not bother you and yet are always available to answer questions or assist. A children’s playroom is available, but I do not recommend bringing small children to a fitness center. If you are just going to throw them in a glass room with over sized plastic toys, then take them to McDonalds(I’m Lovin’ it!) The only downside is the annoying piped in music. But, hey, that is what ipods are for, right? The ice rink offers hockey which stays busy all winter with various leagues playing. Rentals are available for those wishing to free skate at the appointed times. And if you don’t know how to skate, well they offer lessons to boot! Try out this gem of a fitness center with their free two week trial period. I guarantee you will become a member.
