This company trains the crews to find ways to up charge everything and prey on those who they perceive don’t have a clue.
They came out to my house to unclog my main line. I was happy that they reacted fast and cleared the line but then one week later, same problem. They came back out for free but this time found the real problem which was a cracked pipe between the house and the septic. Now for the kicker… these guys didn’t want to dig 18″ down to get to the cracked pipe so I get a $ 1900 estimate so they could bring in an excavator. Are you kidding me? Told them I had to get another opinion. Ended up finding a local company that came out that day. One guy dug up the area, went for parts, came back and fixed the problem and was gone in 2 hours for under $ 250 total.
Found out later that the crews for Mr. Rooter work on commission.
Will never call Mr. Rooter again. Mr. Rip off if you ask me.

Robin was RUDE, as the manager terrible impression for the company. There was no free estimate as promised. Do not contact this company! You will be swindled.

Firstly, the reception staff was excellent. After speaking with several other companies over the phone, Mr. Rooter was far and away the best customer service over the phone. She was able to get a technician out within 12 hours. They also do not charge a flat fee. The technician comes out to take a look at the problem and then gives you an estimate of charges before performing any service. The technician was very professional and did a great job. He also gave us 3 different options of how to proceed; short term fix to long term fix. The nice thing about this was that if we choose to proceed with the long term fix in the next week or so, the amount we spent on the shorter term fix will be applied to the total. This way we won’t be paying for services twice. Overall it was a great experience especially under such crappy circumstances. No one wants to have to call a plumber when their sewer backs up, but Mr. Rooter was a huge help. He was able to get everything working and fixed before we had a huge group of people over for dinner. Great Job!
