Having a Vegan sandwich with the bread grilled with NOOIL by request. What a great service to adjust as a customer requests with a SMILE on your face, no JUDGEMENT about asking for a change, and nothing but delicious taste! Great job. This one is worth writing down.

Visited Cherry Deli for takeout Wednesday night for the first time in several months, and remembered why it is a mainstay! Excellent variety and food quality. Everyone who works there is always super nice. You won’t be disappointed with a visit here!

Cherry has a giant menu which can be a little overwhelming but they separate them by protein which is good! First visit there I had an hour for lunch got there with 45 minutes to eat had to wait in line for a good 10 minutes and had to eat my sandwich in the car on my way back, a bit of a let down but the sandwich itself was good(Frank Lloyd Wright no mushrooms), nothing special, just a chicken pesto. I went their a second time and there was no line, plenty of time to eat and get back on time. I ordered the Norwood which is a vegan sandwich but I substituted Chicken for Tofu(it was very easy they seemed happy to do it!) and no squash or eggplant, I got it on focaccia but I think they put it on their vegan potato focaccia which was surprisingly good, the half is huge you do not need a whole unless you are super hungry, I couldn’t even finish the half! It was a really unique sandwich with the peanut sesame dressing on it, very tasty, would definitely order it again! I am dying to try some of their salads next time, they also look super yummy!

I’ve never had a bad sandwich here, and I’ve tried many of them. 5 stars for the sandwiches, but they’ve given me the wrong soup on more than one occasion and i dont notice until I get home, so 4 stars it is.

There’s about 100 sandwiches. I’ve liked all of the ones I’ve tried. Pretty straight forward, no frills.

This place was ok… Not horrible, but a one time was enough for me. Nice and cozy, and we found seating right away. I do appreciate the large selection of vegan and veg options. I got the falafel and did not care for it at all. I will however say the bread was pretty good. The vegan soup of the day was so spicy, I couldn’t take more than one bite. My company said they enjoyed the ham & cheese and tuna sandwiches that they got,& would return. I just wasn’t impressed enough to come back another time. I will give an A for variety and options though.

I feel like this place is a bit overpriced but I’ve been here twice and enjoyed the food both times. Endless sandwich combos that you can even further customize to your liking. Their garlic chicken soup was surprisingly tasty and their salads have a zing. Nice little lunch spot if you are craving a sandwich.

Fair food, but with dwindling value. The sandwiches are ok. Nothing to jump up and down about, but the selection is very good. There are quite a few vegetarian and vegan options, which is nice, but the prices go up and the portion sizes go down. I could swear that the«whole sandwich» is what the half used to be and the«half sandwich» is just enough to keep an anorexic hipster alive while he shops for his next«Arcade Fire» or «Modest Mouse» album. I used to come here more frequently because at least it was convenient, but now the service seems to have deteriorated as well. The wait time when it isn’t busy is typically 20 – 25 minutes for their wee li’l sammiches, but can be over 40 minutes during the lunch rush. Makes one imagine the prep staff is moving in slo-mo due to a switch from regular coffee to decaf with a dose of ‘ludes dumped in. I just can’t believe this place is owned by the same folks that own Two Beards. That place rocks while this place sluggishly rolls…

I’m not usually one to order a sandwich when I go out; but this place is an exception. Always loved the Charles and the Henry Ford. Love the wide selection of specialty pops.

My experience here at this café was just ok. I wish the serving sizes were a bit more. I also felt a bit crowded. This place should be a bed and breakfast with different servers. The servers were snobby.

First visit. I had half a sandwich and a cup of soup. The half sandwich was more than enough. The soup was a bit small, but when paired with the sandwich, I could barely finish it. A great selection of sandwiches. Definitely would go back again.

Great sandwiches. Great vegan options. However I was disappointed and confused to learn that the pretzel bread has an egg white wash to it, even though it is a bread that is used on some of the vegan sandwiches! I do however really appreciate the staff member telling me this so I was able to switch breads! Thank you!

This is by far, the absolute slowest deli I have ever been to. Don’t go during lunch expecting a quick sandwich! The average wait for my food any time I have gone is at least 20 – 25 minutes. The sandwiches are average.

Cherry Deli is a cozy, less formal dining alternative to the breweries and sit down restaurants on the block. You can sit for awhile and eat one of the sandwiches, soups and salads they offer, or just get your food to-go. They offer a comfortable dining room, a plethora of sandwich options, and on my most recent visit — ambient guitar from a musician near the front counter. I happened to be working from home the particular day I stopped in and the environment was pleasant to get some work done while noshing on a side order of fruit. The sandwich and side options are always solid and I especially like their macaroni salad. Is it the very best deli sandwich I’ve ever had — no — but they have enough of a variety to keep me interested in trying new things each time I stop in.

Friday night visit. Easttown was hopping. Parking was a slight challenge. Not too tough. Restaurant was half filled. Glad seating wasn’t a problem. Family ordered a turkey sandwich, ham sandwhich and spicy chicken sandwich. 4 out of 5 stars we felt. Pretty good meal, not a grandslam however. I’d say price was a little high for what we received. Bring the cost down a bit and I’d argue you got what you paid for. Skinny jeans and knit cap are a must.(at least for the workers).

Delicious every time! Wonderful, imaginative, large full menu with vegan, gluten free options, as well. My husband and I just love this neighborhood eatery. A favorite sandwich of mine is the Fish Ladder. The combination of tuna fish, lemon caper mayo, cheddar cheese, the perfect amount of onion, a slice of tomato all melted and melded together under a panini press is so good. Makes me hungry just writing this! Then, there is the Betty Ford. Incredibly delicious savory roast beef, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese on a grilled pretzel bun… complimented with a cup of rich, flavorful au jus. Perfection! Add a fresh brewed iced tea and a bag Kettle Brand potato chips. Five stars all around!

Only been once, but we had a pretty good experience! Very hip atmosphere, nice, quick service, and tasty food. My biggest beef is that the portions are pretty small for the prices. We paid $ 36 for two whole sandwiches, each with chips, one bottled drink, and a cup of cheddar broccoli soup to share – and we still weren’t full.(Mind you, I’m pretty petite lady and don’t eat a lot lot.) Unfortunately, this could be a dealbreaker since we can get way more food at Schnitz for just $ 23. I liked this place a lot. But if you’re budget conscious, steer clear.

I ate here for the first and last time today. I like the parking and neighborhood better than the Schnitz Deli, but I doubt I’ll ever go here again. The good: The corned beef was good, but not as good as Schnitz’s in my opinion. The not so good: The beef soup was a salt bomb and no where near as good as a can of Progresso soup. Next, the bread that came to dip in the soup was so stale and salty it was unedible, and I eat like a St. Bernard. Finally, the thing that really ruined it for me was everyone there under 50 looked like they were auditioning for a made for TV movie on hipsters. Every guy in the place had grotesquely tight skinny jeans on, glasses with thick black frames and stocking caps, even though it was 46 degrees and sunny today. Even two employees making the food had these stupid stocking caps on. The only thing missing was a shrine to Chairman Mao. It’s like anyone wearing khakis and a normal button down shirt is a freak and outcast in this place. That alone for me is reason to go to Schnitz over this joint. If I wanted to eat corned beef and pickles with a bunch of poseur freaks with pants so tight they look like they were painted on, I’d drive to Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor. At least Zingerman’s food is excellent. Never again.

Oh yeah, am I a fan! This place has great sandwiches and such a wide variety anyone can get something they would enjoy here. Be warned that the large is just more meat, it isn’t a bigger size! I love the names of the sandwiches — after streets and neighborhoods in GR. The Paris is my fave!!! I very highly recommend this deli if you are looking for a good sandwich!
