I had an excellent experience here, and can finally say that I found my go to hair salon in Grand Rapids! Thanks so much for the excellent hair color and style Carrie!

Had the best experience at Bang Blowdry this passed Friday. I was in desperate need of a touch up while on the road for work. I was a little nervous ot try something so far away from home but I took my chances based on the reviews and I’m so glad I did. Lindsey met my expectations and so much more as it may have been the best blowout I’ve ever received. I don’t want to wash my hair! The salon’s décor is so creative and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Lindsey was a gem to talk to for the 2 hrs I was there. She was even kind enough to feed my meter while My color was setting. I highly recommend Lindsey and Bang to any lady looking for a color refresh or a «bangin» blow out before a night out or any occasion!

I was really in a pinch and needed a blowout before an interview – Tina hooked me up! She does a quality job and does not rely on extra heating tools to get your hair smooth. Brush and dryer – as it should be. She also offered some words of encouragement and I got the job. I will definitely come visit her this summer for some blowouts!

They are great for individual appointments but DO NOT USE THEM FOR BRIDAL PARTIES. They expect the entire bridal party to be there the entire time and will not assign time slots for bridal party members like the flower girl, mother of the groom or bride as to not monopolize their entire day. Lindsey is not very clear about this policy in the begging and then will give the bride a hard time for showing up 20 minutes late. At 20 after 2 of our girls were still sitting on the couch, she didn’t even start styling them when they arrived. She is rude and caused the bride to panic and stress on her wedding day! She had only 3 stylists there to do hair and makeup for 10 people (including the bride) in 3 hours, and one of the stylists took 3 other clients during our scheduled time! Then expected that all 10 of us would sit there and watch/​wait the entire morning/​afternoon. It is a poor way to handle a guaranteed income for the day! Owner is inflexible and treated us like an inconvenience.

I was in town visiting my family and wanted to try this place out. Glad I did because I love my blowout! Needed to get in the same day I called and luckily got in for the last spot with Tina. Great service, they know what they’re doing and I got a parking spot right out front!
The place is clean, bright and easy to get to. Tina was very friendly and attentive to detail so you will love your hair. I would highly recommend!

I love this place and the owner Lindsey! Super chic shop and they really know hair. Not over priced either! Will be back soon…

A group of us went yesterday and all the stylists were fantastic! We all had style and makeup on the fly, and we had a blast! Highly recommend for a fun afternoon/​evening. We all left feeling glamorous.

I was in town for a wedding and had a great experience at Bang Blow Drybar. They were very busy with a wedding party but Lindsay (the owner), greeted me right away. The shampoo/​scalp massage was just lovely. My stylist was professional, friendly and did such a great job!

I have been to BANG Blow Dry Bar now several times: for a cut, a style, color, wax and makeup application for Halloween. Every visit has been pure pleasure! Lindsey and Bella’s knowledge and sense of style and what is right for me has been very helpful! The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming and unlike many other salons in GR, I look forward to getting pampered, but not hurried through the process. Lindsey and Bella have always made me feel like I was the only customer that mattered — in the moment. They don’t try multi-​tasking 5 clients at once, they actually get to know you! Great service, great style… highly recommended!

In the age of dry shampoo, washing your hair seems like such a hassle. Love that I can get it washed and styled and it’ll hold up for days! I’ve been to Lindsey a handful of times and now Bella, and will definitely go see her again. I hope this review will encourage more than just my friends I rave to, to check it out also!

I came in from out of town for my birthday and had a groupon for bang blow dry bar. I had an appointment with Lindsay and I loved the way my hair turned out! Me ad my boyfriend agreed that it was the best my hairs ever looked. It held up the whole night, I would recommend everyone lucky enough to live close by to give it a try.

Based on some of the reviews here, I was a little hesitant to try Bang. I live just around the corner, and in the interest of living local, I had to give it a shot. Hands down. Best place I’ve ever been.
For some of us, getting banged is about more than just popping in and out. It’s about connection. It’s about the experience. It’s about that incredible feeling when it all comes to fruition. And most importantly, it’s about the way we walk away glowing afterwards — wholly satisfied with the results.

I remember seeing an article this spring about the grand opening of this blowdry bar and made a mental note that I had to check it out.
I finally stopped in the day before my birthday as a special treat to myself. The salon had a cool, hip, antique-​y, charm and I immediately felt welcome.
I was washed and styled by Lindsey (the owner) and she is a true master of her craft. She turned my curly hair into sleek sexy locks AND in record time! I am accustomed to spending 2+ hours in the chair for a blow out, but she is just that good. I was in and out in a little over an hour.
I highly recommend stopping in and getting a quick blow out. One Bang experience isn’t enough. You’ll keep coming back for more.

I used Lindsay (the owner of Bang Blow Dry Bar) to do the hair for me, my mom and my 4 bridesmaids for my wedding in September 2012. While she is very nice, I found her to be extremely unprofessional and I was not happy with her services. She was late on both my hair trial appointment day and the wedding day (which ended up putting me very behind schedule) and burned my hair during the trial by literally curling it all 5 times. I chose to stick with her sinceI felt it was too late to find someone else being that I was from out of state. Big mistake. Lindsay said she would be bringing a couple other stylists with her but showed up by herself on the wedding day to do 6 peoples hair. Not only was everyone very rushed, she didn’t have time to do my sister AT ALL (the BRIDE’S SISTER– the maid of honor!). I was also left hanging when she got phone calls that clearly were pushing her to head to the salon and she practically bolted without my even feeling done. I ended up fixing it myself after she left, which left me only about 10 – 15 minutes to do my makeup (when I had been planning for well over an hour). Also, I asked for something very basic– that the curles on the side of my head go away from my face– and she didn’t even do this. I just don’t understand what she was thinking with all of this…
I hate to leave a bad review and usually just leave no review at all for someone I didn’t like, but I want to prevent this from happening to another bride. My relaxing wedding morning was completely ruined and I was a total wreck because I had no time… Lindsay is really very nice but she needs to be considerably more professional and take much more pride in her work and her business. Very disappointed overall. :-(
