I loved my experience in picking out my dress. My stylist was amazing and very helpful. What I don’t appreciate is that my dress was first quoted to be in on December 4th. I eventually had to call around January 9th to see what the hold up was. They said they did not know why my dress was taking only but it would be in their store within 5 business days. Now I’m not exactly on a tight time crunch because I planned this all out well, but I think that getting a heads up that my dress was going to be 5 weeks later than scheduled would have been nice. In addition to my dress being late, I work a busy full time schedule and do not appreciate having them threaten to repossess my dress if I don’t find the time to come in and pick my dress up in 14 days. I am sorry but I planned for it to be here in December and you made me wait 6 weeks, I am sorry if I don’t have the time to drop everything and come in on your time after you wasted over a month of mine. The only reason I would recommend this shop is there exquisite collection of gowns and the fact that they did give me the princess experience when picking it up, but everything since has left a bad taste in my mouth. Thank God I only have to do this once in my life.

I came in with my future sister in laws and future mother in law and it was a great experience. Lori was exceptional, she was friendly and really listened to what I was looking for. She brought me a number of dresses and surprised me with several that I liked and one that I really loved. The store could have a better selection of what I was looking for but I did end up finding one that absolutely loved. The service by itself was definitely 5 stars.

Let me start by saying I am not a very girly person, so trying to find a wedding dress that I loved and felt«the wow factor» in became a challenge very early on. With that in mind, I would like to say, I absolutely loved working with Stephanie, or Steph, from Alfred Angelo. She was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and truly had a passion for weddings. When trying on dresses isn’t really your thing, having someone who truly loves seeing people in wedding dresses makes a huge difference. Although most of their dresses fall into what I would call the princess category(which is the only reason they are getting a four star instead of a five), there was one dress that I absolutely loved but I struggled with because I kept hearing people say when you know, you know, you don’t have to think about it. Steph assured me that although some people have this feeling it is not the standard for everyone, and what I should really focus on is finding a dress that I feel beautiful and confident in(and one that was within budget). The dress I selected at Alfred Angelo was a top runner as a cycled through all of the dress shops in Grand Rapids, however, I did end up taking my dress selection in a different direction that was less chic, or more laid-back, which is more my style. Although I did not purchase a dress here, I am thrilled that I was able to work closely with Steph because she made the experience a pleasant one.

This is a horrible place for any bride! I have had nothing but problem after problem with this place, since I spent 1300 on my wedding gown. Its the little things that they, conveniently, forget to mention while you considering buying your gown that cause nothing but problems and inconveniences to the BRIDE! Don’t bother with this place. You want to be able to enjoy the gown buying process. You cant do that here, their horrible policies and procedures, mixed with lack of customer service, make for an awful experience. Its a shame I will have to remember my dress buying experience this way.

This locations customer service is horrible! I am getting married in Grand Rapids this Saturday. I am flying from across the country to have my wedding. Due to shipping my dress and accessories thousands of miles for my special day, they needed to be pressed again. I called this Alfred Angelo because I had such a wonderful experience at my Las Vegas Alfred Angelo. I thought I would have the same experience. I called them on a Sunday and asked if I could get my dress steamed and how much it would cost. She responded, «Well we only do one free steaming so they should have done that before it shipped» I told them that I was coming from out of state and she told me I needed to talk to a manager and to call back the next day. Well, I called back the next day and the same girl picked up the phone. The manager was on a conference call. She took my number and said he would call me back. I NEVER got a call back. Later in the afternoon, my mom went into the store because she was in town and they were very rude saying«you’ve asked about this several times, we will get back to you, and the manager is still on the conference call» Apparently, there was no one in the store to help me or my mom for 2 days. All I wanted to know was how much steaming was. They couldn’t give me a straight answer! Rude/not helpful sales associates and no knowledge of policies! It’s not that hard of a question. The Alfred Angelo in Las Vegas would always steam my dress for me with no issues. We will go to David’s Bridal to steam my dress!

Very disappointed with the service provided here. My bridesmaids purchased their dresses here and they offer nothing but the absolute bare minimum. The service was awful. Our sale rep checked on us a total of two times and had no idea about the brand policies. I went to David’s for my junior bridesmaids’ dress and was SO thrilled with the service provided. After being shocked with at the price tags for wedding dresses here, I went to Bridal Gallery on Eastern and 44th and got the same dress for ¼ the price! Definitely steer clear!
