A.K. Rikk’s

A.K. Rikk’s is a fantastic store. I live near Manhattan where there are dozens of high end stores. However, A.K. Rikk’s has staff that is definitely more pleasant than what I typically encounter in NYC and the service at A.K. Rikk’s is amazing. Upon entering the store I was offered espresso and then water. I bought a men’s suit and gorgeous pony hair duffle bag and had them shipped to me in New Jersey. Although both items were purchased on sale, they packed them perfected — they used a special box that allowed my suit to be shipped hanging up. A small child could have stood inside the box! Although I’m sure it wasn’t inexpensive for them to ship using such a large box, my suit and bag arrived perfectly. Lesser stores (including Neiman and Barney’s) would have just crammed my suit into a small box leaving it wrinkled. A.K. Rikk’s cares about clothes.
For stylish, high end men’s clothes (they have women’s clothes too), A.K. Rikk’s is a wonderful place to go, definitely the best in Michigan. Their building is equally wonderful, large windows and high end furnishings to relax on. Although some of the clothes are expensive, they have great sales and I look forward to coming back to Michigan and going shopping again there.

So incredibly overwhelmed by awesome service. I love to shop, and I live in LA where high end boutiques are a dime a dozen. When in Grand Rapids I came into the store with my sister and 2 little ones– right off the bat we were greeted and offered a beverage (champagne while I shop, yes please!!), they even had apple juice for the little one. From there we were shown the kids room, a very nicely appointed play room that my extremely shy niece loved and played in for most of the time we shopped (almost 2 hours). Karina helped us look for the perfect pair of jeans, also explaining the store layout and brands. Karina is amazing at her job and passionate about what she does, making the whole shopping experience fun!
I usually shop at another boutique downtown Holland when in Grand Rapids but am underwhelmed by their service. So glad I found AK Rikk, their service is far superior and found the same jeans at a lower price at AK Rikk!
The store sells high end brands that are pricey, at other boutiques sales associates can be snotty and condescending, so NOT the case here.
I will definitely be back for more when in Grand Rapids.

It feels odd to give this store 5 stars – it is so expensive I can barely afford to review it.
But the deal is that this place has the best men’s clothes and shoes in west Michigan. Can’t comment on women’s clothes except that when I bought my wife some perfume I did see a price tag on a dress that made me go blind for a few minutes. It had more zeroes than congress.
I have bought shoes, suits and other clothes for special occasions during great annual sales (50−70% off). Want a single malt or espresso as you browse? Maybe enjoy it upstairs on a sofa that costs a month’s wages. And I have found the employees to be really great, even if they know immediately I have no business shopping there.

We had a very bad customer service or rather to say no customers service. I will go back because they do have amazing brands, the sales associate that checked us out apologized several times.
We couldn’t even get the tailor to pin a dress.
Only go when they have sales.

The store in Ah-​mazing. It is the best store I have been in the US, hands down. The level of personalized service, have a espresso or beer while you browse the most beautiful brands from the US and Europe. There is nothing like this in the Midwest. And their sales rock!
