The restaurant in is the same building that once housed C’s Dogs N’ Dairy, but has been sold to new owners and has different management, so keep this in mind. THISISNOLONGER C’s! The dogs are MUCH improved over C’s. These real meat hot dogs produced by a local butcher’s shop instead of cheap bulk hot dogs from a restaurant supply store. These taste more like a sausage than a sweet meat hot dogs that has more sugar than meat. All summer they have been promoting their«Pork Wings». You get two deep fried pork shanks with barbecue sauce for $ 5. I took them home and I should have removed the meat from the bone to weight it, but I forgot. But for $ 5, it’s a decent amount of meat. Very tasty, but definitely not as tender as if they had cooked them at a low, slow heat. And I prefer my barbecue sauce to be baked on so it has a chance to caramelize, but this is fast food, so you can’t really expect much more. But again, for the money, it’s not a bad deal. They serve Hudsonville hard ice cream, a local brand of high quality. They feature 12 flavors and soft serve. Also on Saturday nights, the old crowd that used to go to C’s wit their classic cars are beginning to congregate again. But the season is nearly over, so time will tell whether this tradition really makes a come back.
