First time going there last month with my mom, and her neighbors to have breakfast on my visit. The food was good and it had me stuffed. Would definitely go back on my next visit.

Ruben Sandwich — Rye bread was soggy on bottom. Corned beef was thick sliced and a tad chewy. Too much 1000 Island dressing made the sandwich messy and fall apart. Didn’t have hardly any sauerkraut and couldn’t see the Swiss cheese. French Fries were very ordinary and the Coke was kinda flat. Have been here before and had a 5-Star experience. Not today. Will definitely order something else next time. Service was great! She was real nice.

Usually call in orders, but I have sat down to eat a few times and absolutely love this place! Salads are big, food is awesome, 24 hr breakfast menu, and the people are so nice! I literally eat here everyday, and now my coworkers are starting to see what it’s all about. There is nothing negative to say about this place! And if you’re military, they give a nice military discount!

One of my favorite places to go for a breakfast that’s unbelievable! The biscuits are flakey and the bacon cooked just right! Truly love this place!

I used to be a regular here. The food was always good than, well… it went down hill. It seems to me the better they get to know you the worst the customer service gets. If I could read minds they would lead me to believe that«he or she is a regular, so they can wait type attitude». Customers do often talk across the tables and can make for a enjoying experience. If you make the mistake of sending an order back because it is not right, don’t expect a fresh new plate properly prepared, you won’t get it. They will salvage what they can. That is a huge mistake and what lead me to not going back. The place needs new booths and chairs. They are sticky and worn out. I am sure they know these things. It is time for the owner to step up and put some money and personal effort back into his business. They also need to remove or relocate their TV’s. The staff is to busy watching them that it declines the service. I would go back if I was in the area and hungry, but i will no longer make the 10 mile trip that I used to. This place is a skip if you know of a better place. If your hungry and in the area it will do. Mediocrity should not be a business goal. They really need to step up their business model.

Off the beaten track, this is a comfortable diner with very prompt service and pretty decent food. I had corned beef hash which was better than most. Hot and just a little bit of crunch. I will come back for this dish. Grits were not the best side option. Not stone ground-tasty grits, but probably the instant type. Cream gravy and biscuit were disappointing. The gravy was watery and tasteless. The biscuit was cold. Nevertheless, the hash is excellent and worth the visit for me.

Nicki was a great bartender. The place is strange and off the beaten path but the beer was cold & that was all that mattered at that point!

Always good food! Try their homemade onion rings. Ribeye is bargain for the money! Daily specials are also good, especially the chicken pot pie on Wednesfays!

Hopefully I do not get a drive by for saying this’ but this place needs a serious modern remodel, bring it to the new century. There is a lot of people living in Grand Prairie, as well as tourist attractions. Just a tip. Food is good, although for a Southern cooking place they need to serve macaroni and cheese’ please!

Home style cooking, home style bar. Nice just to lay back. They have bands on Saturday nights. Some have been very good, some not so good. However I understand the Silver Leaf Band has gotten back together after 30 years and will be appearing July 26th. I wouldn’t miss this for the world…

I’ve been to Theo’s a few times and every time the food is great. The servers are very nice and fast, and overall the service is great. The price for the food is great as well. The chop steak is to die for. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have a great«diner» meal for a good cost.

Old people know where to find comfort food, and Theo’s is always packed with the elderly. I love breakfast here.

Been there several times and found the grill to have great food and service, but you don’t get the same experience when you walk through the connecting door to their bar. Most of the bar and waitress staff seem like they don’t enjoy being there and this attitude is reflected on their service to customers. This was evident on a visit 7÷6÷12. Other than unfriendly staff on the bar side, it’s a great place!

I must not have found the same place. The food was cold. It is not a great value. The service was nothing special and yes our drinks did run low. If you want a good meal don’t go here. Oh yea, watch the Asian guy that checks you out. He messes up things I guess because business is slow. You can get in easy and quick but it is slow to get out. My last warning is be close to a bath room in an hour.

I was told about this place by some friends. Coffee was fresh and the portions were huge. I had a Lumberjack Omelet and it was great.

This is one of the strangest establishments I’ve ever been – and I’ve been several times. If you work in the area it’s a great lunch place that’s always busy, but never TOO busy. They have a handful of daily specials that tend to be a meat with some sides, plus an assortment of burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Not to mention at least one sandwich-burger combined – the cheeseburger club which is exactly what it sounds like. The odd thing is that it is presumably a Bar and Grill. They have a sign for karaōke. They have booze. But the main room is more like a tea room or soul food establishment. The waitresses are older. The customers are usually old or a lunch crowd from neighboring plants. And they even have a big display case full of desserts. Suffice it to say that it’s not your typical«bar.» By comparison, Applebee’s looks more cutting edge. But maybe there is a room in which I’ve never been with a secret dance floor or pool table or long wooden bar with decrepit old guys drinking their sorrow away. But, even if there is, it seems kind of strange that they’d first have to walk in through a bunch of booths and displace of lemon meringue pie.

Just north of the tracks in Grand Prairie, Theo’s Grill and Bar is one of those little-known working-class neighborhood joints that serves up diner-style comfort food. I have to admit, the service is good and the prices are excellent. Trust me, you can get a well-rounded dinner here without having to break the bank. I always have the«Theo’s Chop,» a hearty cut of seared pork that never disappoints. Along with a small house salad and a vegetable side order, we’re talking fifteen bucks, with the tip included. You can’t even eat that cheap at home. There’s also a couple of TVs that you can watch while you eat, a full bar if you need stout a gin and tonic, and free wireless Internet access. Best of all, there’s no attitude here, just friendly waitresses willing to refill your iced-tea. It’s just a simple, no frills place where you can sit down, relax, and get a bite to eat. And, the neon sign is pretty cool, too.
