Super 8 Grand Prairie

Don’t stay here. Please take this post seriously because I didn’t take the other warnings to heart now I’m staying at a place that stinks of mildew, like it punches you in the face. I also had to kill a roach crawling up the wall and I have to keep checking out the window to see if my car is still there. This location is isolated and sketchy. I also think I’m itchy from the bed. This place is bad. I’m sorry I’m staying here.

Easy reservations, easy check-​in. Very old, entry is through a pair of «pull» doors, a tad challenging if one’s hands are full or, I’d imagine, if one were using a wheelchair.
The wi-​fi is easy enough, none of that password stuff, just «super 8», I sure hope that my neighbor has not set up a hot spot by that name or my data is screwed :-/​
The toilet is old, slow & noisy, as was the A/​C unit. The room seemed stuffy when the A/​C was off but when that thing kicked in, and I DO mean «kicked» on, you knew it, so did your neighbors! The A/​C sounded about like the starting of the prop engine of one of those regional commercial airplanes.
Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave but I quickly noticed that the microwave was dark, even when I opened the door, that’s because I must UNPLUG a nearby lamp in order to PLUG IN the microwave, yeah, really.
The mattress, ugh, let’s just say FIRM and this is coming from a 30-​year Army vet who has slept in some odd places & positions! I began this review at like two in the morning, thanks mattress!
The breakfast was a joke! Pastries, toast, Danishes, pre-​made waffles, two types of cold cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice & instant oatmeal — probably ok if you’re a vegan but there were no eggs, bacon or sausage to be seen.
We only stayed here because it was conveniently located near the Verizon theater but we won’t be back.

This chic just complained about the towels I guess they expect us to not wash our ass & I have paid $ 620 for two weeks best believe I’m getting my money back & get the hell away from here they are very lazy & unfriendly the beds are broken & raggedy

It’s a Super * forty some dollars a night, it was clean and quite, I was alone and felt safe. The front desk gal was super nice and helped me find my appointment location. It was a cheap motel but good for what it is.

Really, Cockroach in the bed! Enough said!

Excellent for the price and more. The room was VERY clean, bathroom very decent and beds extremely comfortable. The gentleman that was working at night was very accomodating and pleasant. Definetely recommend!
