Palace Barber Shop

Great service. Bring cash. Big difference between a barber who has cut hair as long as he has and startup shops. Would have gave 5, but he gets in a rush when the customers pile up. Glad to have finally tried this local shop out.

Just like insurance coverages, one occasionally checks on better rates. Case in point, barber shops. Although we love the barber we’ve been visiting for the last two years, it is an 18mile drive and at $ 50.00 for two with a beard trim for my partner, it gets pricey.
I was stopping by the neighborhood bank and spotted this barber shop. It looked empty, so I thought I’d stop by. Mr. Lang Nguyen, master barber, was the only person in the shop. No waiting! Although he was in the middle of a phone conversation in total Vietnamese Language, I followed his direction for me to have a sit at the barber chair. A totally rad flattop later, I am stoked!
Yes, at $ 9.00 I am definitely coming back. I tipped him $ 2.00 just because I was so thrilled of this discovery. Barbershop etiquette allows for not tipping if the barber owns the shop. In this case, Mr. Nguyen does own the shop, but I figured, the tip was worth the discovery.
