I live in one of the management’s manufactured home communities. They are very picky about the exact painted state of your home, or how you arrange rocks in your garden, but are not picky about keeping the wells working so you have water or even doing state mandated testing on the water (they were forced by the government to inform us they didn’t do the testing as required). I also went without a functional mail box for over a year when vandalism destroyed our section of mailboxes. Slumlords? Not quite but they are definitely a «do as I say, not as I do» sort of bunch.
