One time when I dropped by this store there was a guy playing a ukulele outside for tips. It’s a Dollar Tree so you already know the drill. Everything’s a dollar. Except for some items that are 50 or 69 cents. Those are not a dollar. This store has typical Dollar Tree stuff that includes home décor, classroom decorations, and food. I’ve actually purchased some nice posters here that have since been laminated and are now decorating my classroom. But that section can be very hit or miss. The cashier I’ve had both times that I visit is not social at all. He doesn’t say hi when you approach the register. He just starts ringing your things up and doesn’t make eye contact. Weird and awkward. Even the ukulele guy is more social than that. But hey, it’s a Dollar Tree so I’m not expecting Target service or anything like that. I just want my dollar items and to go on about my day.

Ok… Dollar Tree, you have officially garnered a new loyal shopper. Working in education, its often difficult to find cool things for your office, games, toys, etc for kids to play with while working in therapy sessions. Dollar Tree has always had a selection of cheap toys, art supplies, etc… but this Dollar Tree totally exceeded my typical expectations. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that this store is located right next to the Grand Prairie ISD education center, but this store is LOADED with materials for teachers/educators/etc. There were more supplies than I could comprehend, and it took everything in my power to not spend $ 50 on pens, pencils, markers, coloring books, toys, etc. This is by far one of the largest Dollar Trees I have ever been to. Besides the cool education stuff, there were a lot of other items that were really nice. They had tons of stationary, gift wrap, cards, scrapbooking materials, household cleaning supplies etc. And for $ 1 for ANYTHING in the store, you really cant beat the selection. Hooray bargain shopping!
