I like it here. The prices are great, and the drinks are great as well. The bartender is attentive and the patrons are always laughing and having a good time. I’ve never heard someone here complain. I only come every once in awhile but every time I come here it seems like everyone knows each other. Good fun place.

My dad was an alcoholic. I cannot tell you how many times We used to go wait for him outside this bar with my mom to take him home. Everyone in there knew my dads name better than Norm at Cheers… Well my dad quit drinking 15 years ago and he died 3 weeks ago. During a trip to Dallas last week I thought I would pay some respect to the old man and go have a beer in his old place. So fast forward 15 years to this bar… The neighborhood was iffy then. It is BAD now. Hookers and homeless were pretty prevalent… I walked in. On a Saturday night at 11 pm there was a bartender. an extremely drunk woman. and her sober husband trying to beg her into going home… I was dressed in business clothes… Slacks and a button up. The bartender asked me if she could help me with a very obvious glare of untrust. Asked her for a beer. She asked me for ID. ‘I am 40 lol’ Gave her my ID and she took it with distrust and held it under the light to verify it some more. By then the drunk woman and husband left and I was completely alone in this bar with the bartender. She then began to tell me FORABOUTTWOHOURS in her best meth head routine about how the cops were bad and had arrested her twice outside the bar and how her car got broken to outside the bar and her tires stolen and how she got robbed and at one point some really strung out girl walked in. stood in the corner for a few minutes and left… I asked bartender what was up with that. She said it was just a crack head looking to score. I thought for sure 3 ski masked thugs were about to come in and rob the joint and kill me. After 1 beer that was cheap I admit at $ 1.50 and a free shot the bartender gave me I left and I can promise you my head was on a swivel walking outside to make sure I did not get slammed over the back of my head… Back in the day this place was full of regulars on any given night. Now I have no clue why the place is even open other than I am sure the bartender needed to get her fix and this is a good location to get it. If you want to put this place on your list of Dive bars to visit… it will fit the list nice. But please go before sundown. and do not sit in the parking lot too long in your car debating whether you should go inside or not or a cop will probably stop and question you as to what you are trying to purchase in this neighborhood.

A little hole in the wall place in a really bad neighborhoood. Park close to the front door so you can run to your car after you leave.
