As a patient of Baylor Family Medicine Fort Worth for the last 9 years, my experience at this Baylor Family Medicine practice has been night and day. At the Fort Worth office, I’ve found the front desk staff to be rude and my former doctor to be less than understanding and compassionate. Why I stayed there for 9 years, I have no clue. I guess convenience because I can go in once a year for a prescription refill and then go about my life. For me, the front desk at the doctor’s office can make or break your experience. After wanting to break up with my doctor for a long time(and the fact that driving 30 minutes for a doctor’s visit is just ridiculous when this office is so much closer), I decided to drop in one morning after my workout to see if they were accepting new patients and to make an appointment. Not only did I make my appointment, I was given the packet of patient information to fill out at home. That transaction alone saved me close to half an hour waiting in the doctor’s office. Two days later was my appointment and I arrived to see Dr. Wellington. While I did have to wait a bit, I realize that I had to wait because the doctors and staff at this practice actually deliver care. Dr. Wellington and her assistant were both very kind and receptive to my needs, rather than dismissive like my last doctor. I can’t believe I wasted the last 5 years of my life at the wrong doctor. I’m so grateful for Dr. Wellington and the staff at Baylor Family Medicine Lake Ridge.
