AVOID!!! We booked two nights and as others have said, arrived to a note tacked on the office door to go to our cabin. Prior to opening the door to our cabin, we were already less-than-thrilled with the location and how close the cabins were to each other. Upon entering the cabin, at first glance it looked dingy, dated, and very worn. Looking closer, the carpets were dirty(noticeably not vacuumed), there was a hair on the kitchen sink, and the sheets had not been changed from the prior visitor(dirty, hairs between sheets, wrinkled), and mystery stains on the deflated couch. Yuck times 100!!! We called the«manager», Lori, who didn’t offer any remedies and basically said she would rent the cabin to someone else. We promptly began looking for other lodging and found Daven Haven — which was a palace compared to this DUMP! Consider yourself warned if you have any consideration for service, cleanliness, or bang for your buck!

Not sure what all the 1 star ratings are for but this was a decent place to stay. Yes the décor is a bit outdated but the owners have/are providing clean and neat cabins. They are pet friendly which is rare and convenient for those of us who can’t bare to leave our four legged kids behind. We stayed in the Raccoon cabin which was subtly decorated with pictures of the critters as well as a sweet painting of one on the outside by the front door. The kitchen had a full gas range, full sized fridge, pots and pans, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. All the essentials(dish soap, dish towels, paper towels, bar soap, toothpaste and toilet paper) were provided as well. But if you are lacking in something the front desk has a few other items. Plus there is a well stocked food market literally right next door. These cabins are in walking distance to Grand Lake Village as well as the lake itself and only 15min from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. All in all for the price we paid(which varies depending on the season and day of the week like every other rental) this was a great deal. Again if you are looking for the above, don’t let those negative Nancy’s leaving the 1 star reviews turn you off. My husband and I recommend this place.

This was a feeble attempt to create a log cabin experience. There was no staff when we arrive. We got a note stuck on the office to do a self check in. We stayed in the wolf cabin and the wolf motif was nicely displayed. Did not have a good sleep. The queen bed was lumpy and tilted on one side. Room was cramped. No screen windows in the living room and kitchen. No private drapes. The bathroom is super small with the bathroom sink held up by two wooden stilts. The shower head popped out when I adjusted it. After tightening it, it gets loose. There was kitchen and sink but it was old stuff. The sponge was dingy. We paid $ 230 plus tax in late July 2015. Overpriced! You think you were staying at a 4 star hotel for that rate but it was disappointment. Get this… you have to take out the trash! The plus? You can park right outside your door. The negatives? Where do I begin… It was not worth the price.

Stayed in the Cougar cabin over the past weekend. Clean and comfortable. My only complaints would be that the TV needs upgraded to modern century technology and there is hardly any room around to toilet to either stand or sit. LOL! Otherwise, this became one of our favorite places to stay. Hot tubbing during a light snow shower was awesome!

$ 60 bucks gets you a one bedroom cabin with two pullout couches and a full kitchen. Dog friendly, close to downtown. Nothing fancy, but very warm and cozy with plenty of room for a group.

Wost experience I have ever had. I got charged my deposit AND full price. Keep your records. There are rude signs all around the place with rude demands. Jets don’t work on the hot tub, they know this, just wont repair. There is trash all around the place. It is for sale too, so at lease she knows she needs to get out of the business. It isn’t as close to town as they make it sound either! Dirty sheets, unstable bed, dirty carpet, smells, not worth it. We were stuck with a $ 40 clean up fee even though we followed all the rules. After telling my credit card company about the cleaning charge the gave me a $ 40 credit. It is her way of getting you to clean for her and charging you for it. Very dishonest! This wasn’t listed in the policies till you get there, and the NOREFUNDSFORANYREASON, posted all over her establishment. Reading this review should be the ONLY time you waist on this place. PS. Your not gunna find this place on any website that gives money back if not satisfied, becasue she would have to give back to much money.

My husband and I spent two nights at Columbine Cabins this week. We took our two dogs and had a great time. First off, the place was clean. If you spend any time in mountain cabins, you know this is not always the case. These aren’t luxuary homes… they are cabins in a mountain town. They have the basics and some extras. The common area with fire pit was a nice touch. Lori, the owner, was very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. We will stay there again.
