A pretty good selection of unique and higher-end toys, but not great. Prices are high. The store itself is a bit of a drag. I’d typically expect a toystore to be cute, inviting, and a place I could see setting my little one free. Here they have cheap and peeling carpet, half-stocked metal shelves and an overall feeling of neglect.

Great toy store. I live in Los Angeles, but spend holidays in Grand Junction. I prefer Toys for the Fun of It to stores in the Big City. They have the greatest stocking stuffers!

I’m not a fan of the owner guy. He talks in an annoying duck-voice that I find childish. The rest of the staff is normal, friendly, and knowlegeable. Many of the toys in this store are not made in the USA. I’d rather buy on-line and buy American.

Wonderful toy selection and very helpful and friendly staff. Whenever I have a kid’s bday party to go to, I just go in and tell them the age and they have great suggestions.

Gee, I’ve only shopped here about 100 times but never thought to Unilocal it. I bought my son the super cool German Darpa cars here, even though he was way too young to enjoy them. I sure dug them, they are sooooo fast! The owner, but especially the young people that work here, love their jobs, and that makes it fun. This is a hands on place, you can try anything, and they will show you what’s new and age appropriate for the person you’re buying for. Don’t get your toys at Target, get them here!
