I visited this salon yesterday, not knowing what to expect as I am not from the area. I am working out in Crawford, CO for the summer on a guest ranch, and needed a haircut desperately. I am 24 years old, and my friend had come with me for a cut as well, who is 25/26yo(male). We didn’t make appointments ahead of time since we were just running errands in town, and luckily they had openings for both of us at the same time. I read good reviews online and decided that this place would be a good one to try out. When we walked in to the salon, we were greeted immediately by Beckie and Barbara at the front desk. The salon smelled wonderful, and was extremely clean. Well decorated, and soothing! They have a well set up salon, very clearly layed out. They sell mineral makeup brand«Mineral Glo» which I was pleased to see as I am very into the whole non toxic cosmetics deal, as well as hair products galore among other things! We were seated in our chairs to discuss the type of cut we were looking for, then brought to the sinks to wash up as the usual process goes… My friend had Deborah as his stylist, and I had Barbara. Both beautifully kind, caring women. The conversations were casual, friendly, and genuine. Anthony and I both received amazing cuts, exactly what we wanted(even though we weren’t completely sure going into it). Which says a lot about a stylist! Translating the image in the customers head to real life is one of the hardest parts of the job! After the cuts were finished we had more lively conversation as we were paying for our new do’s. It felt like we were at a family friends’ house or something! The price was well worth the cut as well as the experience! We left the salon feeling fresh and beautiful! Anthony mentioned as we left, «that was the first time a woman has cut my hair and I actually love the cut!»(in a non-sexist way! haha) «I want to go back in there just to hang out with them and chat!» And I felt the same! Not your typical: «sit down, wash, sit down again, stare in the mirror awkwardly awaiting to be done, dumb conversation, „Is that good?“, „sure“, checkout, leave, look in the mirror at home, eh its fine» type of experience. We loved every minute of it, best salon I’ve ever been to so far for a haircut! You guys ladies were awesome! Thanks to Five 60 for an amazing experience that was unexpectedly genuine and exciting! Made our days that much brighter! Wish we were here longer to keep coming back! :( Namaste, Taylor

I was under the impression that all haircuts and stylists were the same. When I started using Five 60, I was proven wrong. I have been seeing Heather for some time. We met through a Business Networking International referral group and since then we have formed a friendship through her service, personality, and professionalism. I highly recommend Heather and the team at Five 60 Salon & Spa.

I was on my way to Telluride and stopped in grand junction, I happened to walk by the salon and decided to get my much needed haircut. I had Alla, she is a Russian hair stylist from Alaska and she gave me an AMAZING haircut. She understands hair, texture, face forms and how to style hair for different face shapes! She was very warm, and I looked like a different person walking out. Would definitely recommend!

My family and I were in town for a funeral and we needed cuts for the kids, highlights and my teenage girl wanted a blue streak. The shop was nice and had a nice modern feel. It was next door to a bookstore and some fun shops. My kids had Sadie, she was nice and respectful of my teens, who we know can be picky. The cuts were a little expensive, for trims. The blue streak came out beautiful and overall they were happy. I had Katie and I was very appreciative that she didn’t try to sell me product or talk me into expensive additions. She also did not try to up the dollar amount by downplaying what I wanted to up the price, because I probably would have left. The color was nice and the cut was as well. She was respectful and was not overly chatty. She also did get chill my green tea for me. Katie was also nice in answering questions I had about neighboring restaurants. I wish the shop had discount coupons for partnering establishments. The only other things I would recommend would be: I noticed a drink sign on the wall and was not offered a drink until very late in the process. Being offered one straight away would have been nice as well as being offered another once I finished my first. The sign did not also say«complimentary», so I was unsure if I was paying for those as well. I would have liked my kids to have been offered as well, but to say«free» to them, so they knew they would not be adding their drinks to my bill. They did say no, because they thought this. A stylist, not ours, was also making an order to an outside vendor in which she did quite loudly, in front of us, and did not offer us until I looked her in the face. Only then did she ask, but again I was unclear if it was«complimentary» so I said no.

I don’t normally write reviews on salons but since I was visiting Grand Junction for the week and desperatley needed a manicure I stopped in… The place is cute and very conveneint downtown. Everyone was nice and the only thing that saved the pathetic manicure at all was the attitude of the girl who performed it. She was cute, funny, and very sweet. The parafin dip and massage were lovely(although, I would have preferred to pay $ 15 and skip that like I do in Denver) but that was the only good thing. She pushed my cuticles, didn’t even shape my nails(I had a huge rip in one and eventually chewed it off yesterday, ugh!!!) and simply painted them. It took an hour and I left with ragged but well moisturized cutitlces. She was afraid to paint too close to them either(I appreciate not getting paint on my cuticles) but it looks like my nails have grown out for a week and a half and it has been 2 days. To top it off she put on a thick coat of clear which bubbled on most nails. For $ 30(which I had to pay before we even started so she got a normal tip, sorry but I tip less when you do a bad job) I was Highly disappointed. She was nice, and maybe had an off day, but I am going to get a real manicure next week and chalking this expensive one up to a travel cost. Don’t go here for your next manicure.

My boyfriend and I went and got a massage at Five 60. The atmosphere is nice but the massage was marginal. It was fast and not deep tissue at all. It felt like she didn’t accomplish any muscle relaxation and the fast frictional type of movement made it VERY difficult to relax. Don’t bother spending your money on something that won’t satisfy you.

It was a clean place with nice service and reasonable prices. My manicurist was personable but seemed rushed and it showed in the finished product. Basically, I paid $ 30 to get my nails painted and looking in worse condition than if I would have taken twenty minutes to do it myself. There was polish all over my hands and smudges as I was also paying and digging through my purse with still wet nails. Would have been worth the money if some extra time to touch up and dry was taken.

My experience was wonderful! I highly recommend this Salon /Spa. I was in Grand Junction visiting and needed ‘some down time’ to relax. When I entered the Five 60 Salon /Spa, I found it to be a busy but well run opertion with a wide assortment of services(Hair, nail, massage, facials, waxing) that carried many name brand products(e.g.: Bumble & Bumble) Charlotte greeted me and asked if she could be assistance. I told her I was looking for a relaxing and hydrating facial. She spopke with me at length and then advised me that she would be provididng the esthetician services. I found Charoltte to be very knowledgeable and professional. My experience was both relaxing and rejuvinating. Good job !!!
