I went in The Board and Buckle looking for a simple bike part. I was treated like a fool by some condescending employee. I won’t go there again.

The folks at Board and buckle take such good care of me and my family. I go in with hand-me-down skis and boots and they get everything tuned up and fitting just right. Their staff is very knowledgeable, they’ll do special orders, and they have a really good consignment rack. And to give back to the community. If there’s a silent auction or an event, they’re the first ones to donate Support the local company that’s been around forever instead of the big box stores.

Board & Buckle Co is an awesome place to rent skiis. They will hook you up with everything you need for $ 15 a day… and that’s 24-hour, not based on which day you bring them back like most places. They are one of my favorite type of rental places that rent the«old stock» skiis, which to intermediate/beginner type skiers are going to feel brand new! And believe me, they are much newer than the skiis we were duped into renting for twice as much per day for circa 1985 equipment in New Mexico last year. We are talking 6month — 1 year old skiis for you to rent, and in some of the best brands on the market. They also sell some apparel like ski masks, etc. The staff was super knowledgable and helpful. It didn’t take long for us to get or return the skiis. Awesome experience! They were right on our way up to the Powderhorn Ski Resort.

I had to take my bike in to be repaired a few months ago. I walked right in. They took care of it quickly and the price was very reasonable. It was less than I was expecting to pay. They also checked the air pressure on my tires while they were at it. I would definitely return here and also recommend them!

This is a ski /snow boarding /snow shoeing /cycling shop on North Ave which will go out of their way to hook you up. Needless to say they rent. I’m primarily interested in cycling and when I noticed that most of the employees actually ride on a daily basis and *gasp* even ride to work, I was impressed. After a recent component failure in the dead of Winter in Moab, I had to deal with know-it-all salesmen stoned out of their mind, only interested in selling me new crap I didn’t want or need. I was blown away by the professionalism and general positive attitude at Board and Buckle. What a contrast! Davis was one of the most helpful people I have interacted with in a bike shop. No arrogance, no condescension, no typical testosterone BS, just actual interest and a genuine love for what he does. This shop has obviously been around for years, and is in a seedier section of town, but give them a shot. You won’t be disappointed.
