Fried haddock was fantastic. Light breading and super delicious. Small size was still a ton. Everything else we had was great as well. Nice outside picnic tables.

We went last Wednesday evening for a fish fry. It was the special. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a wine. The beer came in a very small beer glass and cost what a regular size elsewhere. The Pinot Grigio was horrible! Next came the silverware, old and dated. The fish fry was okay at best, no homemade fries and no coleslaw!!! Hubby had chicken Parmesan which again was just ok the garlic bread however was made from hamburger rolls!!! We will not be back soon.

As good as they say. Not sure what I expected before I went, but I almost drove by it. Small but good. While the haddock wasn’t hanging off the plate like at other fish fries, the 10 ounce haddock was delicious. Came with coleslaw, roll & fries. Missed the macaroni salad, but I got over it when I tasted the fish. Lunch with pop, tax and tip = $ 20. Recommended.

Went there for the first time tonight, as we are new to the Island. We both had the fish fry, and it was good! The service was so-so, the atmosphere, neighborly… truly a local’s favorite. We did wait longer than I thought appropriate for our dinners to arrive. Price reasonable. Not sure if we will return, but glad we tried it!

Best fish fry in the Buffalo area and friendly staff to boot! Subs and burgers are some of the better on the Island as well. Definitely worth the wait for a seat on Friday night.

Went there on a Sunday, so no fish fry special on the menu. We had Nibbler plater, Quesadilla, Seafood salad and Buffalo wings. Food were average, nothing jumps out. For dessert, apple strudel ala mode was a yay, but Amaretto cream cake was a nay.

Well worth the few extra minutes to get away from the highway in search of food. Great service — the server was totally on the ball, with just the right number of check ins, refills, and she answered all of our questions with a smile(and purple hair). Everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the patty melt with veggie burger(which admittedly was a frozen pre made burger). The marbled rye bread was especially delicious, the onions were grilled to perfection, and the onion rings were golden brown. This should be a «must stop» for anyone looking for comfort food on the way to or from Niagara. Yum. Eight year old Sam says the kids menu mac and cheese was«too much food» but we are pretty sure that’s because he liked the mozzarella cheese sticks so much he inhaled them before the meals arrived :-)

We’ve been back several times since my last review and we just had our first disappointing meal the curly cue fries were truly tasteless and the turkey sandwich was really bland. With that said we’ll definitely be back we just won’t be ordering that again.

Everyone on Grand Island knows of The. Beach House. Great fish fry and its served not just on Friday. Reasonable prices make for avery good value. It would be nice if they had abetter wine selection. Recommended .

Stopped here after a friend told us about it. Damn glad he did! Great food at ridiculous low prices, and fast friendly service! Had the chicken fried steak — awesome, and my wife had the BBQ chicken special which was OK. Wedding soup was really good, and the nibbler appetizer hit the spot. The beer selection is kinda lame, only molsen and coors light on tap, but otherwise a very good place for a very nice dinner. We will make sure to stop here again, especially after I saw someone elses dinner with the 2 pork chops… looked and smelled fantastic!

Went here last night after Unilocaling to find a good beef on weck sandwich on Grand Island. The sandwich was solid. Decent size and taste. Unfortunately I got it to go which resulted in the weck being slightly softer than normal. All things considered it was a good sandwich for 6.95. The mashed potatoes that came on the side were homemade and delicious. I’m really anxious to try the fish fry. That’s all I could smell when I walked in the place. To bad I called ahead and ordered :/.

This is a nice and low key simple restaurant. Don’t expect anythng spectacular just solid good food. One area in need of improvement is their beer on tap selection. They have Coors Light and Molson. Why even bother? Beyond this minor gripe I would recommend as a decent little place when on Grand Island. Very kid friendly too.

This is a great, low key place with a nice sized menu. If you want something high end or gourmet, this is not your place. I ordered a steak salad. It was fresh, the meat was seasoned well and cooked just the way I asked. My husband enjoyed his chicken finger sub. I tried it and the fingers were cooked well. They weren’t greasy and we nice and tender. My FIL loved his beef on wreck as it flavorful. My son has a simple chicken finger kids meal, and that was excellent between the price, size and being cooked well. The service is friendly, and I was impressed when the waitress realized on her own that she forgot my son’s milk. For being a simple beach house type atmosphere that is a bit dated, I have no complaints. If you want something gourmet or something more than a Molson, go to a gastropub. The restaurant was spotless, even the bathroom. When we decided we wanted a good, simple meal in a low key place, this hit the nail on the head. We will be back again. Just a side note, I lived on Grand Island for a majority of my life and have never eaten here before today. I feel like a schmuck for never eating here before.

Went with the family on a Saturday night. When every other place had a 40 minute plus wait, this place was just full enough with a little room to spare. Quaint, clean, and friendly are the three words to describe the Beach House when we walked in. The menu has something for everyone and the food was of good quality. They have all of the fan favorites– roast beef on weck; chicken fingers; burgers; and then they have dinners(just like mom used to make); meatloaf, pork chops, strip steak, etc. and all for very reasonable cost. You can’t beat the prices.

For the last 5 years, I have lived 5 minutes away from this place, and I never even knew it existed until today. I found this restaurant on urban spoon, and when I looked at the menu, let’s just say, I was less than thrilled. I had a picture in my mind of how this place was going to be: Like a place that would be featured on Kitchen Nightmares. But boy was I ever WRONG! When we pulled up, the small parking lot was almost full! At this point, my hopes went up a little — How bad could this place be if there were this many other people in my little town eating here? When we walked in, the first thing I noticed were the specials on the board. The soup of the day was Italian wedding — a personal favorite of mine! As I looked around the dining room, I found a restaurant full of happy looking patrons with delicious looking food in front of them. The restaurant itself is very small, but clean & bright. Our waitress was friendly and served everyone in the restaurant by herself and did a great job! She got our orders correct, even though we did have a few special requests. I ordered the steak & cheese sub(about $ 8), and my fiancé had chicken fingers & fries. We also split a bowl of the Italian wedding soup, and I must say — this place exceeded my expectations and then some! We were served very quickly & the food looked just perfect! They do serve alcohol — including a pretty decent wine list for such a small place, and their $ 1.50 draft beers(they have bottles as well). This place is by no means a five-star, high class restaurant, but it gets five stars in my book for what it is. Cheap, good eats. Can’t ask for much more! We had a great experience here, and will be back for sure! Especially now knowing how close it is to where I live!
