This was the best priced hotel available in Grand Island via Expedia when I passed through on my way back to Ohio. The building doesn’t jump out as a modern marvel, but the rooms are pleasant, clean, the wifi works, and the ladies in the office are nice. Lots of food options, gas, and a Walmart near by. I’m pretty easy to please after 600 miles on the road… that said, this place hit the spot after a long day.

Doesn’t look like much on the outside but I was very pleasantly surprised with the room! It was very nice and clean.

I stayed here for a week while in town for work. It is small but comfortable. The room was clean and had a full size fridge. It seams a little out of date but well maintained. Still had a normal key instead of a card but that didn’t really matter. Very friendly staff and an overall comfortable stay

I was in grand island working for the weekend so I just needed a clean place to stay, nothing fancy. I stayed one night, came home after work and found bed bugs :(I put one in a cup and took it to the front desk, the lady didn’t seem shocked at all. Thank god I was able to get a refund. The people were nice, but no matter how great the customer service is, it’s not worth bed bugs :/

For an overnight stay, it was great. The rooms were clean, there is a full size fridge, and it was cheap. What really makes this place great however was the hospitality. Judy, the front desk clerk, was extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an overnight stay. Thanks Judy!

Literally right smack in the ‘middle’ of nowhere was this old school motel. From the sweet voice on the phone taking the reservation, to the fresh coffee in the morning this place was a reprise from the road. The front desk folks were easy going and got us a nice quiet room to rest our brains after the long trek. The place is old but it’s clean. The wifi was fast however! Ya the shower head is one of those that sting you with air/water though. It is a ‘local’ hotel and we dug that. The price was very reasonable. There are stairs and it’s only got a floor and a half up but if you cannot walk up the stairs you might not like it here. Not sure but there might be rooms that don’t require a walk up. All in all though if I were stuck in the middle of nowhere again I’d be good for crashing here.

Lousy shower head, scary red light in bathroom is pretty creepy but kinda cool. No cookies! Not that nice at reception — made me go look at my license plate number when it’s 10 degrees outside. 50+tax for a single bed two people(and that was the Xmas special). Not good coffee and the room smelled like it was trying to cover something up. The heater was annoying too. loud and didn’t match the temperature chosen. I’m changing my rating from two to one now. on the other hand, there was free wifi, and they did give us too bags of Chex-Mix. It’s the thought that counts. Ok i’ll change it back to two.

Travelling through NE? This is the place to stay. On drive through NE, we were just looking for place to sleep before continuing drive the next day. This place is just what we needed: nothing fancy, just a clean place to sleep. It’s well priced and clean. Free/fast enough WiFi, less than 5 minutes off I-80.

PROS: locally-owned motel, cheapest place we could find in Grand Island, rooms clean and comfortable, FULL sized fridge in the room, centrally located, free home made cookies, free WIFI, free coffee in the morning, friendly woman at the front desk, AAA discount, free candy at the front desk and good water pressure. CONS: microwave in the lobby only and everything in the motel is a bit old. Also there was no elevator. I didn’t mind this, but someone might.

This motel was a lifesaver for us after the place where we had originally planned to stay turned out to be a complete dump. This was a great locally-owned motel. Inexpensive, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. There was even a full sized refrigerator in our room… a very rare find especially in this price range! Oddly there wasn’t a microwave in the room, however there was one in the lobby we could use. If you’re visiting Grand Island, this motel is nearly centrally located and ought to be the place you choose. My only complaint was that when we needed a cab, the girl in the front office didn’t seem interested in helping us. Usually my experience has been that the office will call the cab for you and direct the dispatcher to your location. The girl here just handed us a phone book and had us do it ourselves. Perhaps, though, it was because she knew the futility of the effort.(See my review for Action Cab for details.)
