Sundaes Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor

Indeed, I experienced much better right across the road, at the Creekside Café. I’d been to Creekside a few times, and we thought we’d give Sundaes a try. A very solid «Meh.» Décor was faux/​plastic 50s pretend diner, which is okay, I guess, but food was merely okay as well. Fries were soggy. Who likes that? Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, I found the veggie burger pretty lousy (as a vegetarian).

A bit of a drive for us led here. That’s what happens when you’re craving ice cream after dinner in this part of the state. 20 miles, a deer or two, winding roads… and then there it is. A frozen dairy product treasure chest.
We managed to start with dinner, each of us trying the veggie burger. A tasty patty on a killer light kaiser roll, shredded iceberg, tomato and onion, these were the bomb, as the kids used to say. I had the skin on fries that were really good and crisp, and he had the battered onion rings, equally good.
The ice cream, and they have both soft and hard serve, was beautifully decadent and rich. The peanut butter drizzled sundae with panda tracks ice cream laid the smack down on my diet, for sure… but I only felt guilty for a couple of minutes after scarfing it down. Chennington had a raspberry vanilla swirl and toasted coconut caramel sundae that had «sinner» written all over it.
I guess we’ll have to hit the confessional before our inevitable next visit. Father So-​and-​So is sure to get to know us quite well.

Super awesome place! Great food! Everything was well prepared and tasted great. Clean family friendly atmosphere! Would highly recommend! Love the fact they play oldies and bring it back to the old Dive type arena. Great time!

Sundaes has a great food menu, a little something for everyone, friendly staff, and the best creamiest ice cream around!!! Be sure to stop in! :)
