One of my favorite places to go in the fall. You buy a bag and go pick your apples off trees that grow like vines so they are easily retrieved. They have a tractor ride up and plenty of apples to choose from. We loved the McCouns and Garnet Spys. So many choices. Then in the store itself. They have wonderful Farm to Table breakfast that has huge portions and really good food. The scrambled eggs were slow cooked — the good kind. And the eggs benedict with duck was delicious — and I’m not even a big fan of that dish. the pancake was enormous and really good batter. The downsides? The back was nothing to speak of and the service can be a little slow(but they do warn you that they are not a regular restaurant and waits can be long). The system for ordering too can be slow too. But overall, really enjoyed the breakfast and the visit here. The prices are a little high but the quality was good. Worth a visit in the fall for sure.

Literally the best salsa I have ever had in my life. Bought a jar on vacation and it was gone in 1 day. Wish I bought a case of it, or could order more to be shipped. If you visit buy at least 2 jars. Great selection of other canned goods.

We came here for apples and mums but were excited to see that this place offers«farm to table» breakfast, so we went inside first to eat. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, a pancake, and scrambled eggs. It took an HOUR to get our food. I had to ask twice for it. The first time, the woman behind the register went to check. I could see her digging through tickets. She came back, confirmed our order, and said it would be right out. Fifteen minutes later, our food was still not out – so I tracked down the manager. She did not apologize or smile, but went back to check on our order again, then told us it would be right out. Another ten minutes later, a server delivered our food with an apology. It was fine – good, not great – though maybe I would have paid more attention if it hadn’t taken so long. The manager never came back out to check on us or apologize. The server did come back again with a bag full of complimentary cider donuts to apologize. He was very nice – but none of this was his fault. I appreciate the gesture, but also would have appreciated an apology from someone in charge. We decided not to spend any more money at the orchard and left to go somewhere else to buy apples and mums. I know they were very busy on a Sunday morning, but an hour for our order is a bit much. As I was leaving, I heard two other parties complaining about the wait, so it wasn’t just us. Too bad. I hope they are able to address this problem, because it’s a great concept and location. The interior of the restaurant is very pretty.

We went today, Saturday. We had very good waffles with cinnamon. Good Apple cider donuts, cinnamon rolls, good muffins. Store is very clean and nicely decorated. Fresh fruit for sale inside store. They said next weekend they will start a lunch menu. Today was breakfast foods until 1 pm. Ice cream counter outside looked inviting but we were full. Very good family run business.

First, let me say I am aware that they have only been open a short time. And that as a local there’s nothing I would like more than for this place to succeed. It has the potential to be something special. BUT… in order for that to happen the owners need to greatly improve upon the quality of service and cooking. From the moment we entered there was an atmosphere of confusion. We ordered the corned beef hash w/poached eggs and a pancake with garlic home fries and eggs over easy. So, the corned beef hash looks like it was mass produced in China… small cubes of corned beef that were very tough matched with small cubes of potato… NOTHOMEMADE. Sausage was mass market, not local. Eggs were poached correctly and the toast was bone dry. Stringy hash brown were so dry that it felt like eating tumbleweeds. The pancake was excellent but the eggs over easy came eggs over HARD. No liquidity to the yolk. Garlic home fries were okay. And the overall service, while not rude, was distracted… not sure why they had to take every bill into the back and add it up, then come back to have us pay but it was very confusing as they had a people milling about waiting to pay or get change while taking new orders. My kudos to the two boys(age 12 – 5) who were serving the food and clearing tables. They were the only ones who looked like they knew what they were doing. So… I plan on coming back a few more times to try other items over the summer. I know they are new to this and I hope to see things improve as they gain experience. I would also like to see some local pork products offered and would pay the extra for them. And I will certainly be looking to forward to the farm fresh fruits and vegetables as the season progresses.

Clark Farms at Bushy Hill Orchard is now serving«Farm to Table» breakfast on Saturday’s and Sundays(8 – 1130 or 12?). They have only been serving breakfast for two weeks. My wife and I went Saturday. It was really good. The menu varies each week depending on what is seasonal. I had Eggs Benedict with asparagus my wife had French Toast with whipped maple syrup– both were excellent. We’ll be back.

Used to be a great place! Now the staff is incredibly rude, the information posted is inaccurate and the pickings are slim. Haven’t been there in a couple of years, but the kids were home and we decided to do something fun and old fashioned. BIGDISAPPOINTMENT! Clark Farms at Bushy Hill is NOT the same place that Bushy Hill orchards was. Don’t waste your time!!!

We have very mixed feelings after our first visit to what could be a classic country destination. First, they have a very nice selection of very good apples, fulfilling the orchard criteria. Vegetables were quite limited during our visit, a bit of a disappointment with so many great squashes and root vegetables typically available at this time of year. There is a decent bakery and an ice cream stand offering a limited selection of Tulmeadow Farms ice cream, so what could possibly be wrong? Well, service can make or break an experience in a retail setting, and here they fell terribly short. Whoever hired the clerk with no ability to smile, engage customers or show even the slightest interest or concern for customers is to blame. Hire for fit, train and then manage up or manage out. The proprietors here apparently ignored all these business 101 lessons in leaving what could be a beautiful place in the incapable hands of a young woman who today, asked, with my 17 or 18 items on the counter, whether I wanted a bag, and then proceeded to shove them all in a single plastic bag despite my instructions to her to do otherwise. Are you kidding me?!? Unfortunately, the willingness to employ someone with this level of ineptitude is in itself a sign of incompetence on the part of the owners. The place really has potential, so I hope they get their act together and straighten this out. Else, people will just a bit further out to Lost Acres, where they have the service thing figured out.

Had a wonderful time with my daughter ! Loved the animals and beautiful horse drawn wagon… super friendly staff and yummy bakery ! Extremely fair prices, best bargain for my money. tons of different kinds of apples, not to mention blueberries, pies, ice creams and knick knacks .what I thought would be a quick outting turned into a whole afternoon of family fun. Highly recommended !!

As of Spring 2013, Bushy Hill Orchard officially carries & scoops Tulmeadow Farm ice cream at this location. Wahoo!!! Too early in the day for ice cream? Try an apple-cider doughnut… delicious. Apple season is a fun time to visit in the fall. Bring the family for an afternoon of pick-your-own fun. Late summer /early fall is also good time of year for gallon-sized bags of local, frozen blueberries. Never had a bad batch & they keep well in my home freezer. Parking is dirt surface lot, and owners don’t seem to mind if a person with a disability parks right near the doors(on top of hill).

Wasn’t much going on today, but this place sure looks like it has huge potential, Apple orchards, nice ice cream parlor, big bakery, all kinds of refrigerated cases with cheese and stuff. Place was dead today, almost no one there. We picked up a salted caramel goat cheese and a jar of salsa. They have some pretty sweet barbecue dinners schedule throughout the summer– those look like a strong possibility for us to try.

Ever since the new ownership took over the prices have gone up 2 to 3x of what they were. I also miss the old couple that use to own it, they were very kind but I know it was time for them to retire. the new owners have definetely fixed the place up, serve ice cream again, the bakery is going but the prices are a little high. We use to pick rasberries but last year the prices doubled and the container went from a pint to a half pint on top of that.

As far as apple orchards go, this was a good place. Their store has plenty of bags of apples already picked, or you can go and get your own(they have a wagon that will take you directly to your destination and pick you up again, sort of nice, but bumpy). And if you’ve ever had apples directly off the tree, you know how much better they are than the store bought ones. We picked 10 pounds($ 12, or 20 lbs for $ 18) in about 5 minutes but also enjoyed strolling around the trees for a while. And are they ever delicious! I will go back and try their apple cider and doughnuts(when it’s a bit more fall like outside). But this was a great place to go and the people there are super friendly. Very family friendly(and group friendly too). They grow apples, raspberries, strawberries, pumpkins and probably a few other things too. All in their respective seasons of course.
