Food has no flavor and is very expensive for the portion size. The sides are flavorless and terrible as well.

We stumbled on this place when my wife and I were visiting our son and daughter in law. Stopped by to grab a bite of good ol’ BBQ. We were NOT dissappointed. The ribs and brisket were quite good and we loved the atmosphere of the place — a bit rustic and ‘old timey’. Great place for BBQ and a fun place to visit.

This place is cute, but the food is awful. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was truly bad. The turkey has this disturbing texture when you bite into it, like it’s been microwaved. The brisket is just ok, but definitely needs sauce, which is not my definition of BBQ. The green beans are just plain green beans out of a can with no flavor. The mac & cheese looked liked it had been sitting around for a while & was on par with what you’d get at the hospital as a patient. The only thing I liked was the BBQ sauce. Everything else we tried was atrocious.

Not so great. First time we went service was bad. Food was less than mediocre. Cashier was friendly, yet guy preparing was extremely rude. We will never visit there again.

This is not what it once was. Wife and I went on 9⁄5 for dinner. We arrived at 8:30(Close at 9:00). We split a turkey and pulled pork plate. I added a ½ side of ribs. The cost was $ 17(no drinks had wine with us). All I can say was turkey tasted like it came from HEB and the small cup of pulled pork had no taste. Asked about the ribs and the unfriendly lady behind the counter said she did not catch that I wanted them. She did give me a few ribs for free which were good but I was still wondering how a plate with such small portions cost $ 17. In addition it was obvious ourselves and the other 2 people were not needed. Very sad to say this is not the same place that is was.

«This place is legit!» as my foodie companion declared when we arrived. It seriously fit the name. When asked what she recommended, the cashier declared«everything here is good!» So, ok then, we took her word and ordered ribs, corn, etc. All around the place are kitschy signs and wood paneling. Truly authentic Texan BBQ. We sat in the back area.

Bad customer service. Very rude Unfriendly. Food was very pricey for the amount we got. Ribs were just bones Brisket was just ok. Nothing special about the sides. Gnats flying around the the tea. I would not recommend this place. Save your time since it is in The middle of no where.

This was a great find, very down to earth. It is literally a house turned into a rib joint but that’s what makes it so great. The ribs fell off the bone and the mac and cheese were mouth watering and well seasoned. They don’t add sauces to any of the BBQ choosing instead to give the customer full control after being served, but the downside is they only offer one kind of sauce to add. I’d also try the sweet and spicy pickles, its what they’re known for and one bite and you’ll see why.

First time ever to eat here, had combo plate; ribs and sliced brisket with corn and pinto beans in side. Was very good flavor. Meat fell off bone n brisket very tender. Husband recommended it due to they cater at his office often. Only complaint was brisket was not very warm and only two slices, not near enough, but very good and will go again!

Truly a texas gem. Quality is great and prices are reasonable. One if the best bbq. Fall off the meat brisket and ribs with a savory and spicy sauce. I dream about this place.

You know it’s one of those places that serves dinner on a paper plate, with a Styrofoam cup, trash cans conveniently placed for you to bus your own table… But it’s the food we come for. It is the best in Granbury!

This is our go-to place when we want BBQ or just good food in Granbury! I always order the stuffed potato with chopped beef. The potato is huge and the meat is always good. My husband sticks with the ribs every time, so they must be good! I have tried most of the sides, and they are all delicious. The pickles deserve their own paragraph. Sweet and spicy and freakin’ amazing. I buy them by the jar when I go. Don’t expect fancy, but expect to be comfortable and treated like family by the owners. Another plus: free beer! BYOB

Well I’ve got news… Some good, some not so good. The not so good is that steaks are no longer on the menu for the weekend. We were told sales were just too inconsistent to be feasible. The good news is there is FREE beer now. You can still BYOB, but if you don’t, and you want some brew with your que, the good folks at Rib Shack can set you up. Now that’s what I call service. Oh, and we did eat and it was as good as ever!

I have been here numerous times in the last year and the following is what I have concluded. I used to get the rib plate which comes with two sides. I have tried different sides every time I have been here(i.e., corn, coleslaw, beans, and potato salad). I have never enjoyed any of the sides. They either taste canned or store bought that were just«spruced up» with some powdered seasonings. What I finally learned was just go for the meat! Ribs are fall off the bone tender and have great seasoning, The Brisket is juicy and tender. The atmostphere is different. Don’t really know how to explain it. Inside is small, dark, and occupied with flies. They have a large yard in the back that apparently is used for bands, washers, horseshoes, etc. I have not been here during the night on weekends but they are BYOB during that time. If I knew when bands would be playing, I would definitely like to check it out. All and all, just come for the meat. Yumm!

I really hate order at the bar and pick up your food at the counter places… BUT… I will go ahead and give these guys the full 5 stars because they are super friendly and will at least bring your food out to you. They have a nice little array of things to fill your belly. I recommend trying everything although probably not all on the same day ;) Everything I have ever had was quite yummy. I think their homemade spicy BBQ sauce is delicious. And might I just say that you GOTTA try their deserts– you can’t go wrong with any but my favorite is the pecan cobbler :)

The ribs are awesome. The meat just falls of the bone. Not fancy — just like a rib shack should be. Off the beaten path so you have to pretty much know where it is. Not far from town though. If you are in Granbury — or anywhere in the area — go to the Rib Shack.
