Eeek! So glad it’s only *temporarily closed*! Yes, I’ve been upset! Vons’ donuts are ok, and the corner donut shop in that plaza is not close enough just to go for a donut(at least for me, first thing in the a.m.) on the weekend in particular. It’s a small neighborhood type place. Three tables, some chairs, an ATM in the corner(but watch those fees) for cash-they don’t take credit lsat time I was there. The mornings there are fun, because I get there after all the high school kids from Kennedy HS have swept the place nearly clean of donuts. While that does mean the choicest ones are gone, there are still lots of others to try out. Plus, every single time I have gone in, there are the regulars. One of them parks his tri-motorcycle(what are those called?) and has lively debates with his friends at one of the tables. He’s a staunch conservative so it’s fun for liberal me to listen in while I pick my pastries, pay for coffee & donuts, and pour my choice at the counter. [ *facepalm* Oh, wait, NOW I remember Jenny mentioned they were going to family this summer. Without the high school kids to clean them out, why not?] Yup, if you’re in the neighborhood and Yummy 2 is open, stop by and have some coffee. Their croissants are great, too.

Great people and a simple yet homey atmosphere. I ordered the caramel ice blended coffee and ham and cheese croissant. The drink tasted amazing with the light caramel and cinnamon to too it off while the croissant was average tasting. I will definitely return to try more items.

My family has come to this donut store for 23 years(since they first opened). The owners are the sweetest, most kind family and even with my most recent visits being years apart they remember us the second we walk through the door. Their donuts, croissants, and coffee are all extremely affordable and very tasty! If I lived nearby I’d certainly frequent them just as often as I did growing up.

We love our little neighborhood shop. Got up this morning and a fresh warm coissant just sounded good! Their Hawaiian hazel nut coffee is so yummy especially with warm milk. Jenny is so sweet, she warmed the lowfat milk for me in the microwave and then I added the coffee. Who needs the expense and pretense of Starbucks. We go here at least once a week.
