This store is great for quick gifts for my mother in law, home décor items and the like. They have a well stocked linens section and every now and then a cute top can be scored. Regina is a sweetheart and she always remembers my name. That is true customer service. The fashions are for a more mature crowd, but I still enjoy the hunt. It’s a win win since Homegoods is next door! Happy shopping!

I wish this place was converted back to a United Artist Movie Theater like it used to be in the 90’s. It would definitely be a better use of space. I have come in various times and have yet to find something useful for myself or my home. The only find I’ve had found were two framed pictures. But honestly, I feel that this store will be more to my liking when I grow older. I could definitely sport those outfits and rock those sneakers in my 60’s. So Unilocal if you’re still around and I am as well, I will update my review when we both grow older. I’ll even do my review when I hit 40 years of being Elite lol. Employees are super nice. They are honestly much more available and friendly than TJ Maxx or Homegoods. So cheers to you my friend, I’ll see you in a few decades.

Stopped back to exchange the watch that was missing pieces from my first review. Return was handled quickly and professionally. Later found the same item in better condition after the clerk indicated they should have one more in stock. So I did get the one I wanted after all! Wandered the store and got ideas for future temptations after I get paid. Lots of fresh spring merchandise available! Noted the home department — linens, bed /bath /kitchen is well-stocked and coordinated with suggested complementary items.

There is always something I want… usually in the home section and they do have some of the best prices on bedding and other home goods. The clothing is «your mom’s closet» usually but occasionally they have some good yoga gear. They have great prices on amazing wine glasses too.

Yes, I kinda agree with other reviewers that’s it’s a store for your mom… sorta middle aged lady clothes, although with some digging you can find hipper stuff. I took advantage of their red slash and blue slash sales. I wish they had a scanner so you know what the prices are before you go to the register. The cashiers are slow! But I think it’s because they have to manually scan each item and manually enter each red slash/blue slash discount. This takes forever. When you make your first purchase of over $ 100, they’ll give you a $ 10 off coupon for the next time. They also have a savings club. Sign up is free, but you do NOT sign up at the register! You sign up by the jewelry counter PRIOR to getting in line for the cashiers. CONFUSING! Stars off for the slowness and awkward club sign-up.

I like to shop here for gifts and for dressy clothes for my daughters. I am a plus-size woman but still have an attractive shape; the clothing selection for me is too often garish, sacky, uninspired and cheap-looking. The closest thing to a line of clothing I consider is Kasper. However, recently, even this line is looking garish in colors and patterns — just plain cheap. Step it up a notch, Steinmart. You can do better than this. Many plus-size women still have a figure and don’t need to wear shapeless bags for tops and dresses and sweaters. Press the manufacturers of your women’s lines in the rest of the store to produce the SAME styles for us! We want to buy them! And please provide more than one pair of pantyhose in each line of product in the E, F range. We like to wear them! The same goes for lingerie — from bras to PJs. You are missing a whole segment of the market.

A friend gave us a gift card from Steinmart for our house warming party. We went online to order some serving trays for our house in very early November 2014. We looked up a tracking number through UPS on November 11th2014 and the status has never changed«In transit to UPS». We have never recieved our purchase and feel completely ripped off by this company. Moreover, we feel badly for our friend who spent her hard earned money on this gift card only to have that money lost with this unreliable company,. We believe that Steinmart should get out of the internet business since they cannot excute their obligations to consumers. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I am a resident of Granada Hills and Steinmart is less than 8 minutes from my house. I was in my early 40’s when I stared shopping there as soon as it opened. I travel quite a bit and meet clients for business. I find prices are very reasonable for business, party & casual attire, that I usually do not have to wait for a sale and purchase what I need when I need it and feel good about not overspending. Also, they have a Petitie section, which fits my needs as well which means I do not have to incur extra expense for alterations. I have emailed their corporate office and my latest request was to add smaller sized shoes such as 5 ½ and more 6’s, and I believe they heard me. I am very happy shopping there both for my personal and gift-giving needs.

Not a big fan of this place. The clothes cater to an older crowd with overpriced ticket prices. The selection is limited with not enough variety. I do like their lingerie department which has a good selection of bras and panties with reasonable prices.

One star is way too much for this store. My mother and I loved shopping at this store until a recent visit. As soon as we walked in, I noticed that I was being watched and followed. I thought nothing of it at first and went directly to the baby section since I’m expecting while my mother shopped for shoes. Everywhere I went, I could see that same associate from the corner of my eye. Once we were ready to purchase, we walked to the register and noticed another employee whisper something to the lady that was ringing us up. She started going through the shoe box as if she was looking for something! My mother noticed that 2 caucasian employees were standing behind us staring. After we were done paying. I asked to speak to the manager to address my concerns. All he said was, «okay, okay, thank you.» Not once did he apologize or show a tiny bit that he cared. I felt so discriminated. I have already told my co-workers, friends and family to never shop there again. I’m so glad TJ Maxx and Home Goods is right there in the same shopping center.

I buy a lot of home furnishings for the place where I work, and they have cute, unique decorations, throw pillows, end tables, etc. Work, work, work, I’m always working. I hate shopping for work. So I am usually in a hurry and on a mission when I’m at Steinmart, and they fit the bill. The prices are good. I’ve also picked up a few nice pairs of earrings and a watch for myself. I’m a little surprised somebody thought TJ Maxx is better… at least Steinmart is original. You won’t see the identical crap they’re selling at TJ Maxx and Ross. The shoe department disappoints. But then, all discount places disappoint in my case, because my feet are size 5 and every place starts at size 7. I’m told the petites department is good for professional wear, but I haven’t browsed at length yet. The staff don’t generally seem thrilled to be there, except for the one youngish guy who’s a checker. He’s always very sweet.

I like to shop at Steinmart because of the way they display the clothes in such an attractive way. Also the store is not so big that I feel that I have to travel miles.

Steinmart is considered a clothing store for«older» women, but I love it here!!! I have found some of my favorite cocktail dresses and coats here. What made it even more amazing was that I found them for cheaper compared to other department stores. This is a great place to buy conservative, but yet cute clothing from. The store is pretty big and it doesn’t ever get too crowded. The staff is nice and helpful. My only complaint would be that some of the staffers are a bit slow. Beware though, some of the styles can look a little«ghetto,» still most of the articles of clothing are fashionable.

Nothing in this store impressed me(and believe me I love to shop!). Not only were the clothes and home furnishings uninspiring but they were pricey as well. I can’t explain it but somehow I felt trapped in a weird timezone when I entered this store. Glad there’s a TJ Maxx in the same shopping center.
