Heart of Grafton Family Restaurant

This restaurant has re-​opened as Lobo. It has a Mexican — Southwestern menu.
We stopped on a Thursday, mid-​afternoon and it wasn’t very busy. However our taco salads were very good. (My wife had ground beef and I had grilled shrimp.) they have a variety of margaritas but we stayed non-​alcholoic. The ambiance is very nice but they are still doing some work. My wife says the ladies room, while clean, needs some fixture work.
Good food at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately, this wonderful local gem has permanently closed. So long, Heart of Grafton :/

I really wanted to like this place. But it was poor, the food was meh, the service was just okay in a middle of nowhere kind of way. This could be a good spot but it needs a major overhaul in menu.

This seems the kind of place where you might run into your grandma. I bet many people get called honey here. Last time I said that at work, I almost got fired.
It is a nice place overall. The staff are all friendly. They serve mostly breakfast food along with comfort food. Chili, beef stroganoff, chicken pot pie, burgers, etc. I’ve had the breakfast and it was good. Had the toasted ham and cheese melt. It was quite large and good. It is inexpensive. Tables are not too crowded together. I’ll be back to try some of the dinner options.

This restaurant changed hands a few years ago. I have eaten here twice in the last two months for the evening meal. The new owners are doing a nice job. The food, both times, was very, very good. A casual and pleasant environment. Much nicer in that respect than its predecessor. Service is attentive, friendly and inviting. My wife had steak and shrimp, I had broasted chicken. Both were very nice, and the sides were also tasty. We were also there for their fish fry recently and that too was very good. I had a mixed plate; again the shrimp were very good. So was the perch, white fish and haddock. I also had potato pancakes; very tasty. Their slaw was good too. My wife had the haddock plate; she liked it a lot. The prices are very reasonable.
