This place is the biggest rip off! I can see why they didn’t bother to rebuild the hospital devastated by the flood and built this place instead. First thing is if you walk-​in with 5 aliments they will only treat one, and tell you to comeback again. I guess 4 more times! If your doctor happens to be in the medical center, in the same space, the entrance is not even separate anymore they will tell you to make an appointment with him. Then when you get the bill you’re in for a surprise especially if you have no insurance or are on medicare! Even though the TLC hospital emergency room is 11 miles away you will get a bill for an emergency room visit (they are not equipped for real life threatening emergencies) and a doctor’s bill, not just a bill for a doctor’s visit. There are no signs stating this, and you’re not told of this before hand. Worst yet, if you stupidly choose one of their doctors as your regular doctor every time you see him or her you will get billed for a doctor’s visit, and an outpatient hospital visit! Your bill and co-​pay will cost more as a walk in patient to TLC urgent care or triple the cost for a regular doctor’s visits at the medical center (same place) than it would be for you to see a doctor in a private practice and some other hospital owned practices. Also it’s like pulling teeth to get the right dosage of medicine. They under prescribe, by that I mean they don’t give you strong enough dosages of antibiotic and not a 14 course only 7– 10 days of outdated weak antibiotics that don’t work in today’s modern world. Also they won’t give you anything stronger than Ibuprofen for pain, even if you old doctor gave you the stuff that works and you have a medical necessity bad back bad knees, arthritis and more. You have to live in extreme pain! They will just give you Latricia if you complain and it don’t do diddly. So if you can make the trip to your old doctor 80 miles away, your stuck with pain! That’s why they get one star down from 2 because the staff is usually friendly.
