Needed a break on our long road trip to Illinois and found this little gem. Best Egg drop soup I’ve ever had and the Pad Thai is delicious. My husband enjoyed the ham and egg sandwich and their fries are phenomenal. Yum all around.

Very delicious home-style food and nice service! She provided us all the rest fresh vegetable she had left from her garden.

I’m giving it four stars because it was VERY clean on the inside. Lisa and daughter were gracious, excellent a hosts. The crab ragoons were to die for along with sweet and sour sauce. Yum !! Was disappointed that complimentary soup was not included with meal. This was our first experience with Pad Thai– not impressed. To mushy, sweet and soy saucy at the same time. It was not satisfying felt hungry. I’m not a big person btw — 120 lbs girl here. I would go back and try some spicier food. Also way to pricey for such a small meal. Our ticket was $ 50 and it was only for three people. That was disappointing since it didn’t include soup or eggrolls. Also gardens can use some trimming /upkeep. A little overgrown– lot of junk lying around the outside

You will pull in and be greeted by butterflies flying happily in the beautiful garden outside the restaurant. Wow! Delicious food in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere– the restaurant is adorable and the service impeccable. Order the pad thai !! Quality down to the smallest detail(and by this I am referring to the refreshing mint leaves sprinkled on top of the dish). Thank you so much for a wonderful meal! I am just passing through town and look forward to returning again soon.

This was our second visit to Lisa’s Kitchen – a few years apart. The first time we had lunch – pad Thai – which was excellent! Today we stopped by for breakfast – and we felt like we were at home with mom cooking in the kitchen. Her place is clean with personal touches. If you’re in a hurry, you may want to go elsewhere. If you have the time, it’s well worth your wait. She does everything from serving, to cooking, to cleaning. Recommend you stop in and say hello.

Lisa’s Kitchen is an unexpected treat on I-80. You will drive up to find Lisa harvesting fresh vegetables among the butterflies from her garden out front. The interior of her geodesic dome is completely charming, featuring photos of her grandchildren. We had the(fresh) veggie Pad Thai, followed by excellent apple pie, and left thanking Lisa as she was cooking away in the kitchen. This little restaurant is like a visit to your grandmother’s house. You will leave both happy, satisfied and grateful that Lisa and her little restaurant was in the most unexpected place. I recommend following up a visit to Lisa’s with Lasso Coffee, right on your way back to I-80 on the right. The drive up window is very entertaining, as a very loud bell announces your arrival.

Excellent food. Neat building, clean. I’ll give her 5 stars. My daughter said it’s the best Chinese she’s ever had. My chicken lo mein was really good.

Service is fast and the food is delicious, fresh and inexpensive. Made a stop here after reading the reviews here while passing through Nebraska. Lisa was incredibly sweet. We may be back on the return trip! Try the Pad Thai.

One woman show was very nice– but $ 45 for«pad Thai» with no noodles in it was pretty sad. After the good reviews on here I am super disappointed :(

Almost drove right by, but SOOO glad we didn’t. Food made with veggies from the garden, and choices ranging from breakfast to Chinese meant that there was something for everyone. We went with our two young, picky sons who agreed that is an awesome meal! We were there while on an overnight stop in July.

We are driving through on the interstate and found Lisa’s about 2 minutes off of the freeway. It is an awesome little geodesic dome building surrounded by a beautiful, bountiful flower garden. Going in with a normal appetite, we shared a veggie omelette(7.99 $). It came with white Texas style toast and greasy crispy hash browns. It was a very good portion size for us to share. Of course we could have each had our own omelette but we are glad we didn’t! Perfect fullness factor. The omelette was a deep yellow color, owing to farm fresh eggs. The veggies(peppers, zucchini, broccoli, tomato, onion) were delicious. The coffee is reported as so-so/borderline ‘bad.’ As others have noted, it seems to be a one-woman show. We waited almost 45 minutes for the food., which is why it’s dropped to 4 stars. Bottom line: if you’re looking for a quick in and out, maybe this isn’t the best choice. But– I’d challenge you to find a fresher, taster omelette elsewhere!

What a great little find. Very clean and Lisa is a doll. I love that she is growing fresh herbs and vegetables in the front yard of the restaurant. The crab rangoon was to die for and both of our entrees were delicious. Very reasonably priced, great service.

Hawaiian Chicken with a Crab Rangoon was great! The Club Sandwich and Fries tasted great, too! I decided to take a chance and try the Green Bobo Tea. That was the most unusual drink I’ve ever had! I think I’ll have plain iced tea next time! And there will definitely be a next time! I should also add that the service was a little slow, but when there is only one person working there(waitress, cook, cashier in one), that’s not a surprise!

Interesting place. Food is ok. The reason I visited this place is because of all the great reviews on Unilocal and Google I opened my take out to see a container full of BLACK noodles. My suggestion to Lisa — Dont drown the noodles in soy sauce, please. They look horrible and destroys the taste. Everything is prepared fresh and by a single person. So thats something. If you have lived anywhere bigger than Gothenberg, NE, you will find the food to be nothing to talk about. Its not bad but its not great either. its a bit expensive and portions are on the smaller side If you are in the neighborhood, go eat here and support her business.

What a cute little place! I had the veggie tofu and it was very good. Lisa is sweet and the atmosphere is pleasant. Very clean restaurant, nice bathroom, cute location. I stayed a while to take advantage of the free wifi and Lisa made me feel welcome. Unfortunately I’m just passing trough Nebraska but if I ever return this will surely be on my list!

A lovely little place, run by the one and only Lisa. She has a great little garden that she harvests her vegetables from, and makes fresh, delicious food. The dome shaped restaurant makes it easy to find, too. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try if you’re near exit 211 on I-80. (I can only give 4⁄5 stars because it’s a one-person show and can be a little slow getting food to groups. But still well worth it!)

If you are in the vicinity of Gothenburg then get your hungry self over to Lisa’s. This lady cooks great pan Asian food and has over twenty years experience cooking and running a restaurant, beginning in Hong Kong. She’s here by happenstance but should be considered a local treasure. She cooks fresh, using vegetables from her garden. Had a Tastey grilled pork and vegetable dish and pad Thai here.

I stopped here with my bf and friend on the way to Colorado. It was New Years Day morning and we were the only ones here. The place is a cute little igloo shaped building. There is limited seating inside but its pretty charming. They appear to serve Chinese food but we had the classic American breakfast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and they were fantastic. I was so excited when I took the first bite. My bf ordered the waffles and my friend ordered the breakfast burrito and he was really happy about it. The waitress, I assume Lisa, was the only person working there and she took good care of us. The heat apparently went out the night before so she had 2 space heaters running for us. It was chilly but the food was good enough that I didnt mind. I would stop here again if I were in the area
