I just stopped in to get a juice smoothie, my favorite, which I recommend to everyone is the Goshen Goes Green with a scoop of vanilla protein powder. The smoothie was great but the workers inside all seemed to be having a bad day or something; weird vibes.

I know a lot of people love this place, BUT. I went there when I Goshen one day and asked if they had coffees, the response from the young people… who worked there was, ‘yeah its over there’ pointing to the pre made coffee pots. So, wanting a latte. I left and went looking somewhere else. Apparently the place is owned by someone who also owns the place across the street. so when I went in there and asked for lattes they were like ‘oh we’re out of caramel. did you try the Sunflower Café?’ she says to me. yeah I tried it they don’t have lattes. «Are you sure because I own that place and I know that they do». Oh really okay I’ll go try that. I did and they do and they don’t know how to make a latte at all it was probably the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life. so good luck I guess I won’t be going back. Hard to find good help and all, but maybe the business own should look a little harder.

Really disappointed that they took almost all the vegan items off the menu! I used to love coming here because of their vegan options and vegan baked goods(including vege chili!). They recently changed the menu and staff. They used to do breakfast sandwiches all day but now only do them before noon, to the disappointment of my husband who loved going for lunch. The staff is nice but they let a woman cut in front of me to order, which is not cool, esp since we’ve been going there weekly for almost two years. They says they’re a healthy restaurant but they added all sorts of heavy items like ham and cheese sandwiches. I would definitely not call it a health café anymore. It’s owned by the people who own the diner across the street and now the menus are really similar. What’s the point in that? I really loved the café the way it was before. Now I’d rather drive all the way to Warwick for health food. I’m not a fan at all of the new menu at Sunshine. It goes against everything we loved about the place. We probably won’t be back again. Such a shame. We used to go several times a week and now I have no plans to return.

Food and service was pretty good. Could use a warmer greeting from the staff being a first time customer but will definitely come back here again.

Went to the sunflower café this morning for breakfast. I got the protein scramble(4 egg whites, smoked salmon, and avocado on a GF wrap). The food was really good. What sunflower café needs to work on is their service aspect. I didn’t get a smile at the counter during ordering. I was looking for a diary free option to put in my coffee and I feel like I stood there looking confused for 2 minutes while all the workers were watching the Rachel show on the television behind the counter until someone finally noticed me. When I was leaving I put a tip in the tip jar and said thank you and wasn’t acknowledged. Ladies, your food is great, the environment is cute and relaxing… Just please try and put a smile on your faces. Final overview: would I come back? Absolutely, the food was good but I wouldn’t have any expectations for great service.

To begin with I placed an order to go and waited almost 15 minutes while food ordered after mine was not ordered but prepared before my eyes. It wasn’t until the cashier heard me comment that I was getting very annoyed that she reminded the people prepping the food of my order. And I only had quiche and salad, not a wrap or panini that needed to be assembled. When I left, I realized I had not been asked what kind of dressing while others had. When I sat down to eat my food, I found the quiche was extremely under done and soupy even after being heated again. It lacked flavor and texture. I was extremely disappointed…& have no plans to go back despite it being one of few places that offers gluten free options

Excellent breakfast and they have no problems making a custom order. Always very nice and the food is always tasty. The service is excellent. The only problem I have is that I work in Goshen and I live so far away. But it is really nice and in a great spot in Goshen. The smoothies are great.

Stopped in this Friday after going to the Farmers Market. The menus is decent and everything looks great. However, I never got the chance to order. The woman at the register, a tall skinny woman with magenta in her hair was the absolute epitome of rude and unprofessional. She was cursing, ignoring many of us waiting and making comments about other staff. She kept talking to her friends that were standing by the coffee. After waiting 20 minutes to have someone take my order I left. I took a menu just in case I decided to come back.

Ummmm, what the frig happened to this place?! It’s been envaded by a hoard of angry employees and the food and juices are seriously mediocre now. The place is a madhouse every single time you walk in, you’re spoken down to by the(new?) head cashier who replaced the lovely young woman who used to be there. She makes derogatory remarks about customers on the phone and when they leave. My juice, the Pineapple Citrus, tasted like Palmolive dish soap and I’ve had it in the past without the soapy aftertaste. The young man making the juice leaves the same pair of gloves on, I sat there for 30 minutes and saw him grab raw veg and fruit, then grab the dirty dishrag, go into the sink and then go back and grab more fruits and veg with the same gloves. It’s freaking disgusting. Whatever happened to this place, it’s wrong. It’s not working. This was my go-to place for lunch every day, now I avoid the place like the plague.

Wow. I was not surprised to find this adorable little café Sunflower so busy as certainly i am far from the first person to recognize this spot. There were tons of other people waiting for their smoothies and sandwiches at the height of lunch. The ladies behind the counter were working feverishly to accommodate everyone’s requests. Seeing that they were so busy I limited my order to one of their Goshen Goes Green smoothies. It was made from avocado, spinach, celery and some other feel good ingredients. I had pondered one of their many vegetarian or even vegan friendly wraps but it was so busy I did not wish to wait that much longer. This café is just a stroll from the weekly Friday market on the church green. I am sure to come back after visiting this farmers market which is one of the best in the region and get that curried chick pea or rainbow wrap that tempted me today.

Kudos to little Goshen, NY for this bustling café that offers hearty sandwiches, salads, fresh pressed juices, smoothies, gluten free treats, and breakfast all day in a laid back comfortable atmosphere of sprawling tables and exposed brick. While the concept is 5 stars, the execution is more like 3.5. I selected a breakfast burrito with smoked salmon, egg white, and avocado in a spinach wrap. The salmon was exceptionally fresh, but the overall flavor profile was one note with the savory avocado, eggs, and salmon. It would benefit from some diced jalapeño for kick or a few slices of tomato or red pepper to add brightness and contrast. I selected the Happy Buddha juice to pair with my sandwich — beet, apple, spinach, lime, ginger. It was delivered fresh, frothy, with a few ice cubes to cool it but not so many as to water it down — much appreciated detail. The apple dominated and I could not detect the ginger until the last few sips. Slightly disappointing. Great concept with plenty of promise. Will return when in the neighborhood.

This place is owned by the people who own Howell’s(across the street). They started branching off a few years ago at their main restaurant to make some Gluten Free items and specialty foods. Sweet fillings has some very unique and tasty healthy options that the many Delis in Goshen don’t come close to having(quinoa salads, etc). They also have a great menu for breakfast and lunch and the best is they are very knowledgable about Gluten Free or other health needs! They have a lot of tasty baked goods with a rotating section every few days. They also make delicious juices and healthy smoothies too!

Love this place for lunch! Great smoothies, juices and more! Service is quick and efficient even during their busy lunch hours… I work nearby and try to head here for lunch as much as I can.
