Not worth the price. The food is of quality, but not to the degree reflected in the menu pricing. Interesting experience, but one that will not be repeated.

It’s not an every week place but when we do go never been dissatisfied. Unique menu and first class staff. Kelly is a fantastic talent in the kitchen. If your looking for a great meal and beautiful atmosphere then this is your place. Great place for date night.

Came here with a good friend to see what all the buzz was about and we were not disappointed. We got a few small plates to start, I would highly recommend the duck sausage stuffed dates. The baked Brie was tasty, and the special small plate was salmon burger similar to the full sized as were tasty as well. We ordered a slew of desserts, all I’m going to say is CHEESECAKE! The lemon tart and peanut mousse were delightful as well but the cheesecake has got it beat. In terms to beverages their best gin and tonic is amazing. Place has an awesome atmosphere, we will be back!

I visited Kelly Jae’s for dinner and cocktails during Goshen Dining Days and had an excellent experience. The Asian pear salad was sweet, savory, spicy, and delicious. The wasabi pea encrusted salmon was cooked to perfection and very likely the best salmon I’ve ever had. Crème brûlée is one of my favorite desserts and Kelly Jae’s was fantastic. I received impeccable service, to boot and will absolutely return.

Had the pork pad Thai for lunch. Large serving, delicious, nice citrus flavor, just enough heat. Nice place, well decorated, great service, a nice dining experience.

Great service. Great food. Great drinks. One of only a couple places in Goshen(or Elkhart) you can have a «real» culinary experience. Laid back as well.

Great, but pricey. Although the food is great, they do not have food for everyone. A lot of specialty choices and I have a very limited selection of things I personally like here. I would definitely give it a five star if they made a bigger menu or added more items that aren’t specialty and are more basic so that I had more options.

Although my first visit wasn’t the best, I will definitely give the restaurant another shot because a member of their staff reached out to me. I admire a restaurant that can take criticism and learn from it. That in and of itself makes me want to give them another chance! It sounds like they are working on perfecting their portobello burger which is fantastic news to us vegetarians. One thing to note that I did not say in the first review is the waitress did offer to replace the burger with something else. While I appreciated the offer, I was worried about the length of time it would take to get it.

Hello, Just a note to let you know that my husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at your café yesterday. Not only was the food exceptional, but the staff went beyond excellence. Thank you, we’ll enjoy the memory of visiting your establishment and your quaint town. Sincerely, Phil and Cindy

Kelly Jae’s is just wonderful! The perfect place to dine with friends and have good conversation… take your time, enjoy the delicious, fresh, creative tapas paired with a good bottle of wine(or two… hey, you’re sharing!). I would 100% recommend this place for a special occasion or a date.

Really? Water in plastic glasses??? Sorry, not at these prices! Kind of ruins the classy upscale experience.

We were looking for a place for dinner while in town for a RV rally. We didn’t want the ubiquitous Amish dinner so found this place on Unilocal.Parking was a problem as it was First Friday. Since most people were getting food from the street vendors we had no problem getting a table. The only downside to my meal was the kale salad, not a great accent. Everything else we had was very good and nicely cooked. My shrimp had a nice crust but was tender and juicy inside. If you’re in Goshen make this a stop.

I love this place! They have great food! Great service! And great atmosphere! I love that this place is in goshen, there aren’t may places with different types of food like this. The Mac and cheese if a definite choice for everyone. I will be coming back again and again

I went to Kelly’s Jae’s for dinner with a friend a month ago. We each got a salad, both being quite big for two young ladies. We had the Jae’s salad which was good, a bit over dressed but hit the right notes of sweet from the caramelized nuts, bitter from the greens and savory from the blue cheese. The other salad was the pad Thai salad, also good. Very crunchy due to the cabbage, fresh red pepper, peanuts and green onions. The dressing was delicious. Then moved on to the baked goat cheese with tomatoes and crostini — delicious, can’t go wrong! We split the yellow fin tuna with seaweed salad and tempura cauliflower and brussel sprouts, we enjoyed both very much! For drinks my friend got red wine and I tried a cocktail. I got the Electric Blue cocktail and the name says it all. It came out neon blue with a glowstick and lemon as a garnish. It was a fun drink and quite boozy but I don’t think i’d order it again. Over all, the experience was nice. It’s a warm place with great food. Definitely a place to try out if your in the Goshen area. They are open for lunch which I haven’t tried yet but the menu looks good which you can see on the door outside of the restaurant. And as i’m talking about menus, the website is not up to date.

Back again for first time in a year. Still amazing and well worth the trip. Highly recommend the sesame crusted tuna. Excellent Maple Farms Duck. Wasabi pea salmon it to die for(well maybe not quite the good) but damn near). And Paul provided excellent service. Again I can’t wait to come back.

A few weeks ago we had one heck of a night at Kelly Jae’s Café in downtown Goshen, Indiana with a plethora of dishes containing a huge palate of flavors and«beautiful to the eye» presentations. One indulgence was a subtle yet classy seared black sesame-encrusted yellow fin tuna that came with a seaweed salad. Great for anyone with a taste for gentler flavors. Very simple but well made grilled vegetables consisting of zucchini and Added a great balance to our meaty dishes. All I need to mention about the Rack of Lamb is the pistachio encrusted goodness over whipped potatoes. Simple and pure with a beautifully cooked«medium rare» finish A side of whipped potatoes layered with caramelized onions and gruyère cheese. A very refreshing and palate cleansing roasted golden beet salad with manchego cheese, strawberries, marcona almonds, and a sherry vinaigrette. There is always room for dessert… Got to take a bite of the vanilla cheesecake bountifully topped with caramel and fudge sauces sprinkled with cashews Needless to say… we all had a great time eating delicious food! I highly recommend this place if you want something different with quality and taste.

Had a wonderful dinner tonight. Hummus, then Blood Orange Salad, then roasted cauliflower. The dessert was delicious. Oat and pear crisp with vanilla bean gelato.

They get my vote for one of the top 5 restaurants in Indiana.(I know what you are thinking… Goshen? But this is one cool town.) We had the tempura cauliflower appetizer and it was nicely done. The grilled romaine salad was extremely creative and a nice way to start my meal. My duck entrée was incredible. Of course, I am a sucker for tart cherries so the chutney provided the perfect match for the duck. To finish things off, I had the key lime pie and I dare say it was better than some of the key lime pies I have had in Florida. With dinner entrees in the $ 20-$ 25 range, the value is hard to beat. If you happen to be anywhere near Goshen, do yourself a favor and make the drive for a hard-to-forget meal.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet — I thought I would be updating a review I previously wrote, but I guess not. Kelly Jae’s is by far the best food and service we have experienced lately! I had previously visited twice and was finally able to make it back with my husband so he could see what all the fuss was about — totally worth the 45 minute drive from South Bend for us! We arrived on a Saturday night without reservations and were seated right away. I was a little surprised the place was more crowded. Our server was fantastic and we had multiple folks assisting with clearing, filling water, asking if we needed anything throughout our visit. We started with drinks — a craft beer for my husband and a Hum and soda for me. Hum is a botanical liquor that we first discovered at Fitzgerald’s in Sawyer, MI and haven’t seen on a menu since so needless to say, I couldn’t resist. The cocktails were a little pricey — $ 9 for the Hum and soda, but perfectly mixed. We started with the crab and manchego cheese dip which was served with toasted crostini. The dip was wonderful — warm, gooey cheese with the subtle crab was a perfect way to start our meal. We moved on to the mini Kobe burgers with feta and caper remoulade along with a side of hand cut fries served with a homemade aioli. The burgers were cooked a perfect medium as requested and the feta and remoulade blended perfectly. The fries were amazing! We debated on ordering one of the larger plates and my husband couldn’t resist the stuffed chicken with serrano ham, cheese and mustard sauce so we ordered it. Our server explained the preparation would take awhile and suggested we have a salad while we wait. We ordered Kelly Jae’s salad with mixed greens, bleu cheese, candied pecans and a balsamic dressing — even my husband loved it! The stuffed chicken was well worth the wait — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside with a nice balance of ham and cheese. The mustard sauce was light and paired nicely. We splurged and shared the pumpkin cheese which was delicious. The portions are decent sized for tapas and the large plates are basically an entrée sized portion. We felt the prices were reasonably for the quality of food — our total bill was $ 91($ 25 of which were our drinks). Service was fantastic and we will definitely be back!

Now this place brings some class to Goshen and gives diners a food experience that’s way above the mashed potato and fried chicken experience of the mid west. It reminds me of home in Australia and I can count on food that is good for me, tastes great and looks great.
