This place was the perfect solution to my mother and I’s desire for a cozy lunch spot in Goshen. While there is a huge display case with a plethora of baked goods, they also pull off the ambiance of a café/coffee shop with grace and charm. The furniture was lodge style and there was a fire burning in the hearth, which was just the type of place I was hoping to find as my mum places the décor and feel of a restaurant on par with the food. The menu features soups, salads, and sandwiches, and we both ordered the soup and half sandwich combo. Though it wasn’t on the menu, the chef grilled me up a delicious veggie sandwich on their house-made herbed focaccia bread(that bread was heavenly), accompanied by a vegan portobello mushroom soup. The soup was brimming with flavor and I was very pleased with my meal. For dessert we split a Bavarian cream donut and we also bought a few baked goods to bring back to the rest of the family, which lived up to the hype. The café also has a full coffee bar, and it’s definitely the new go-to spot for a quick bite or a cup of coffee in Goshen for both of us. I’m looking forward to many more of your sweet treats, Dutch Maid!

So many awesome options. My recommendation is the massive donut. Also, great prices for such quality and carefully made items.

The eclairs are my current favorite treat in the area. I love them cold straight from the case or I wrap it up and throw it in my fridge if I’m not going to eat it for a while. Not too sweet and just awesome. Frosted sugar cookies are good too and I don’t typically like bakery cookies.

Your sweet tooth will thank you for coming here. I was lured in by the promise of a caramel bacon doughnuts and left with cookies and a red velvet whoopie pie. Then I came back the next day and got a pecan sticky bun and coffee. Very pleased with my selections! The lo-down: Caramel bacon doughnut — this was a great doughnut! The caramel frosting was divine and the bacon was just salty enough to give this doughnut an awesome flavor profile. Highly recommend! Cookies — I got the standard butter cookie with icing. Perfect texture and not too sweet. Also a fan of these. Red velvet whoopie pie — I know this is Amish country so I expect a whoopie pie here to be good and I was not disappointed. Just cakey enough and the filling wasn’t overly sweet. Pecan sticky bun — this surprised me a little because the pastry was more like a croissant but that’s not a bad thing. Just enough of the caramel topping and very generous with the pecans. I’d eat this again! Coffee creation of the day — I think it was a cherry latte? It was a little too sweet for me but I like my coffee strong so that’s probably just me. I was just in town for a quick business trip but if I ever was back, I’d definitely stop in for a doughnut and coffee and bring a dozen cookies to my client.

Funny, my grandparents have lived in Goshen since the 90s, my parents have lived here since the early 2000s, I’ve been to Linway Plaza many times and yet… I had never before been inside Dutch Maid. The second we opened the door, whoosh, that wonderful yeasty smell of donuts. It’s cozy, there’s plenty of seating(for the smallish space), and the woman behind the counter was very friendly. We ended up with six donuts(took them back to mom’s, they were delicious) but I have to say the cakes, cookies and other pastries looked quite delightful too. Truly my heart belongs to the Electric Brew, but if I am closer to Linway and in need of a baked good or cup of cocoa, I may just be back to the Dutch Maid.

Less a review of the food(as most of it is not GF-friendly) and more a review of the store: It is a supreme bummer to be stuck in town for a couple hours and with the hope of getting some work done, to spend a few bucks, prepare your coffee, get settled in, and discover that the store’s internet is broken and the employees cannot fix it. It is like jamming on the gas pedal to discover that your car is irretrievably stick in mud. And leaking fuel. And a Ford.

Ordered cake from Georgia. Website gave us great examples for what they can do. I picked up the cake(plus a couple dozen Monster cookies). The cake looked great! Unfortunately, I didn’t transport it correctly(it was a two-tier cake for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary). The top tier fell over! I went back to the bakery and after a couple of calls, the cake decorator came in on her day off to fix the cake! I cannot recommend them more highly!!!

Growing up in Goshen I always remember on Saturdays my dad would stop at Burger Dairy and get both my sister and I one if not both of the following. One cream filled Chocolate long john and one face cookie. I never knew who baked them until about a year ago! I was overjoyed. Went this past week when on a visit and the memories all flooded back to me! The cookies are exactly as I remember… As for the long johns… well I think Chicago may have me a bit spoiled on donuts. Only I have NEVER been able to find filled long johns anywhere else… It’s a Dutch Maid thing!

Childhood memories. This bakery has lived many places before resting here. So glad it’s there to stay, my sisters and I chased there cookies all around the Goshen area for a while. There tea cookies, Sesamee Street face cookies, and whoopie pies are awesome! Everything is realitively cheap for a small bakery in Indiana. Staff are friendly and quick. The place is small and cozy, with a a couple tables inside. I’d say a good place to meet friends(realitively quiet) or work on things(free wifi with purchase).

Clean, fresh, and sugary sweetness. Light and bright space. American«danishes» and donuts. Soups and sandwiches, local greens in salads, locally roasted coffee. A gem hidden in a strip shopping plaza in Goshen, Indiana.

As soon as you walk into this place you’re hit with smells of delicious-ness. Super cupcakes, tarts, donuts, pies, cakes, brownies, crème horns, cannoli and more. I don’t recommend the special coffees, they’re kind of weak. Get milk and bask in the decadent baked goodness.
