These guys are great! My husband and I just moved to Goose Creek and were looking for a local butcher that carried specifically pork heart and skirt steak in large quantities. Guadalajara Supermarket certainly has both! The butcher counter attendants are helpful and will offer you samples if you are curious. The grocery also has an excellent pastry counter and selection of Mexican beverages(sodas, juice, etc). Biggest Hispanic grocery I’ve seen anywhere. Period. Prices are lower than you would expect, especially on the meats. Don’t be embarrassed if your Spanish isn’t up to snuff, all the employees we’ve talked to have been both understanding and at least basically fluent in English. Or bring your smartphone and use Google translate for some of the Spanish-only product labeling! Almost forgot, they also have a small restaurant/dining area up in the front! We stop in at the grocery several times a month. Spice up your cooking and give these guys a try.

Easily THE biggest Hispanic grocery store in the Charleston metro area. They have a ton of different foods, drinks, magazines, music, movies, toiletries, clothes, beer, and anything else you want from«down south». They also have an awesome butcher and seafood department. On top of that, they have a great little restaurant in the front. The prices on the food are a little higher than the taco wagon down the street, but it is bigger portions. I had the quesadilla de carne azada and taco de pollo. Both were very good, right up there with the wagon, maybe even a little better. They also had an awesome green sauce that I had to slather all over everything. I would have drank it, but that’s improper table manners. The cook came up front and talked to us a little bit and was super friendly. He said they will also start making enchiladas and some other things, with shrimp, fish, and pork. Needless to say, I will be back! One thing I need to say about these true Hispanic places I’ve been«venturing» out to around here. Every time we go, the people that work there are so friendly. They treat you almost like a regular, even on your first time there. To me, it really means a lot, when the cook takes time to come talk to you and see how everything was. The service are these places are second to none. If you are a little sketch about going to one of these places, DON’T BE!!! You’ll be very glad you did. I know I am!
