Hughes Catfish Inn

I have never been a lover of catfish but this place has changed my mind. The catfish is great. Well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and served piping hot. Excellent seasoned fries, as well.
With all of this, the prices are low and the service is quick even on a busy Sunday. We will certainly be back.

Our family of four all ordered the catfish dinner with 4 filets, french fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies. While the filets were small, the catfish had the perfect cornmeal breading. As it turns out, four filets were plenty. The tarter sauce had a touch of dill and was quite tasty. The fries were crispy and delicious; a rare find! The cole slaw was crunchy with a light, creamy dressing and very good. Finally, the hush puppy, the size of a golf ball, was seasoned and cooked just right.
The restaurant is very clean and pleasant. The waitress and staff were very friendly and attentive. The tea glasses were extra large so you don’t have continuously ask for refills.
I give Hughes Catfish Inn five stars and will be back again next time I’m hungry for a «better than homemade» catfish dinner.

For this area, great catfish and food. We had the catfish plate and chicken fried steak which were all good with great service. Much better than Catfish King in town. Definitely worth trying!
