I gotta go 4 stars on the Walmart in Gonzales simply due to the fact that they always have a ton of registers open when I’ve been there thus there is no wait in line to speak of… the last 2 times I’ve been I’ve actually been behind someone in line and due to my prior experiences in the Bossier City, LA Walmart think «This ain’t too bad» when a cashier at another register has said «My lane is open!» Popped right over and got the hell out of Dodge!!! Fantastic!
Also they have wider aisles than the other Walmarts I’m used to and that right there makes for a more enjoyable experience than I have ever had in the past at other Walmart’s in north Louisiana.

Decided to drive Hwy 61 rather than I –10 the day before Thanksgiving from NOLA to Baton Rouge. My sister always needs something at the last minute, so we took a chance and stopped here. I was dreading long lines and crazed once-a-year and neophyte cooks.
To my delight, the lines were fast and short! The cashier was funny and smiling.
BUT!
Why would you run out of pecans on the busiest grocery-shopping day of the year?
