Delicious food! Friendly service! We had the fried shrimp po-boys and seafood gumbo! Wonderful! About 5 minutes off I-10, but worth the short drive. Can’t wait to go back and try something else in the Jambalya Capital of the World!

Closed early on Saturday Night(5:30) because they ran out of boiled Crawfish. There’s more on your Menu besides Boiled Crawfish. Seems like Tee Wayne’s doesn’t want to do business

Love the boiled crawfish for lunch Thursday through Saturday. Spiced just right and talk about BIG! The folks are kind and remembered me(my name) the second time I came in. They have great gumbo as well, both chicken and sausage and seafood. They serve soft drinks and the only known antidote to crawfish overdose: Beer!

Cute little place! This place is close to our house and we’ve been wanting to give this a try for a while but with their limited hours, it didn’t make for an easy trip. They’re open Mon-Thurs 11 – 2 and Friday and Saturday 10 – 8. Fortunately, it was worth the wait. It’s a small restaurant with a southern, swamp feel. You order from the bar and they being the food. I had a club sandwich that tasted pretty good, but I could tell they used the cheese you buy for your kids… I would’ve preferred an upscale cheese. My fiancé ordered the fried shrimp platter which was delicious, however only came with about 6 – 8 shrimp and fries. My father in law ordered the boiled crawfish and shrimp which he said were delicious. See the picture for the menu. Overall I wouldn’t recommend a large group, it’s more of a quiet feel but a nice dinner spot for something southern.

Had their fried shrimp poboy through a catered lunch. Pretty good! May need to come and visit their business to try something else and rate the other aspects of their food and environment!

Good food. I was very impressed with shrimp, boudin balls, and gumbo. Boiled crawfish were bland and too much lemon used. Staff very courteous and friendly.

Love the crawfish here! They do a good job with deer processing too. My deer sausage is great! We have been here a few times now… service and food are always consistently good.

First time we had a shrimp po boy & roast bead po boy with some crawfish. The crawfish were amazing! The sandwiches were good, but the crawfish were an A+++ This place is one of out new favorites!

Had a shrimp po boy, popcorn shrimp, and shrimp seafood gumbo. All were really good. I was debating between 4&5 stars but the reasonable prices swing it to 5. Only negative was that they had run out of crawfish.

I give it five stars ! Not because it a 5 star resultant but because everything I have eaten here is spot on. The grilled catfish is my favorite. Not on the menu but they will grill any of the seafood items. Price is right. One of my new favorite casual places to eat.

So what do you do when you find yourself in Gonzales and need to eat lunch? I don’t know about you, but I consult Unilocal and look for a review from my good buddy Joel. Thanks to him, I had a pretty good lunch at Tee Wayne’s one day. Speaking of Joel, he is dead on about the bread. Tee Wayne’s does not use traditional New Orleans style po-boy bread. It’s much softer than I am used to, but they still put out a quality product. On this trip I decided to try their ribeye po-boy. The bread was too soft, but what was inside was better than expected. The thinly sliced ribeye remained tender despite being so thin. The addition of cheese and sautéed onions really moved that sandwich to another level. Had it been on traditional bread, it would’ve been better, but it was still damn good. I also tried their boudin balls. Being a huge fan of boudin, I was a little taken aback when they were served with a side of ranch. But despite my reluctance, I dunked away. It’s true what they say; you could dunk a shoe in ranch and it would still be edible. Even without the ranch they were pretty good and I’d recommend them as an appetizer. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome despite obviously being the only non-local in the place. If you find yourself in Gonzales and need a good sandwich, check out Tee Wayne’s.

Alright, I was wavering between a 3& a 4 on this review… I find it to be a truer 3.5… why you ask(and even if you don’t ask I’m telling you anyhow!)? The poboy is good with hints of greatness… it’s the bread that’s holding it back… the shredded roast beef was tasty and they dressed it just right, coulda been a little wetter but the bread was too soft and pillowy… now if they would have grilled it so it has that crispy outer layer into the soft inner I think this poboy coulda shined! If you’ve eaten enough poboys then you know what I mean by my bread statement… However compared to my experience at Mike’s Poboys with bread that felt like you were gonna pull your teeth out to get through it I’ll take this place any day of the week and twice on Sundays! Open and roomy with about 15 tables, they serve bottled beer and soft drinks and more than just poboys. They also do fish and seafood baskets… Look to be open for lunch Monday thru Thursday cause they close at 2PM but stay open till 8PM Friday/Saturday… If you find yourself in the Gonzales/Geismar/Prairieville area and hankering for a poboy head down US61 toward Baton Rouge make a turn on LA621 and you’ll find Tee Wayne’s and maybe me cause this is gonna be my go to poboy place in the AP…

Fantastic po boys! Also, they do great fried turkeys for Thanksgiving. Really, really busy during lunch time. A little pricey, but delicious.

Really good shrimp po boys. It’s a great place for lunch plus they have different cuts of game you can buy which puts this place in the 5 Star zone.

Right around the corner from my home but honestly I sometimes forget it is even there. That’s going to change, however, as I stopped in for lunch today for the first time. I had the ribeye poboy special which was perfectly seasoned ribeye, sliced, and fully dressed on delicious french bread. Perfect. Wife had the fried fish basket and she said it was great as well. Picked up a side of boudin balls which were equally as fantastic and came with two different sauces to put on them. Saw numerous sausages and hog head cheese to take home in their cooler which looked great but I didn’t get any today. Will save that for next time. Go and check this place. Support the local businesses. I’m ashamed I didn’t do it sooner.

Great Place to get classic Po Boys, Cajun dishes and real smoked cajun sausage. I has the fried shrimp Po Boy and it was simply the best, classically dressed with mounds of fresh shrimp fried to perfection. This a must stop on my trips between NOLA and Baton Rouge, about 5 min off of I-10.
